This is the best view and sushi bar around. The bartenders are excellent and make the best drinks. Matteo, Maria, Leonardo. Wendy, Oswaldo provide such fun and friendly service..we were known after day one. My whole family loved the sushi and went for happy hour before dinner every night. Gohan really ups the Nuevo Vallarta Dreams experience, the sushi and service are 5 stars.

Stayed here for 5 nights in mid-June with family (wife and 2 boys). Overall, we had a good time. Fabiola was our rep, and she was beyond amazing! She made sure we were taken care of and our needs were met. Resort is a little dated, but we enjoyed our stay and made the most of the trip. It is definitely on the quieter side, so if you are looking for a quieter trip, this should be good for you. Given everything, I would give this resort a 3.5 stars, but will round up due to the good service we experienced. We did make a trek up to their newer resort (Bahia Mita), and would highly recommend that if looking for a little more lively environment, and food was really good up there. Rooms: we had garden view room, with king bed and pull out couch. Size was nice, but as many other reviewers mention, rooms could use some love as ours seemed fairly dated. Good thing we don't spend a ton of awaken time there. Bathroom was awkward as well, as it is just covered by a sheet from the main living area. Pool/beach: 3 pools, which you share with the condos, were all solid. Seats seemed to fill up quicker at the pool by the beach, but really we didn't have issues finding a group of chairs the entire trip. Temps were fine at all pools and service was pretty good and quick overall. Beach is nice and in a good location. Food/drinks: Food was mostly solid. Nothing too special, but overall well. The meat/steaks were cooked well, which was nice as that has not always been the case when visiting Mexico (usually well done lol). Sushi bar was great view and solid sushi. Enjoyed the Mexican restaurant. Buffet was ok, but usually enough variety to find something you would like. Buffet offered fresh made tortillas for breakfast quesadillas was a great touch. I've been to other AI with better food, but also to ones with worse. Room service food was pretty mediocre. The bars were pretty well spread out and service was usually good with these. Make sure you specify the alcohol you want, or you will usually get the lowest grade liquor. Liquor selection was a little disappointing, especially with tequila. I would've hoped for better choices, but it is what it is. Service: mostly good service, but a couple instances where I had to tell a waiter/bartender how to make something (Cuba Libra, one of their drinks of the day). Pool service was good. Buffet service was slow, and had several instances where we had to get up to get a waiter to help get drinks, silverware, etc. Entertainment: During the day, the entertainment group would go around and try to get kids and families engaged with different games and such. Resort seems to be more on the quiet side, and only sometimes were the games scheduled actually played. But they did their best to engage, and had fun with the kids when there were activities going on. Nighttime entertainment was mostly lacking, except on weekends. We were there Tues-Sun, and first 3 nights were either a DJ or some local band singing covers. Not really entertaining for us. Friday was a Mexican show, but it was not really advertised where this is held at (in a little convention hall room on the second floor of a different building) until we ran into someone telling the guests. We caught the last 10 mins and seemed pretty entertaining, but definitely thought this would be better outside instead of what reminded of an elementary school theater room lol. Our last night (Sat) was a fire show, and this was cool. Kids loved this, and the performers were great. Wish there was more of this type of entertainment daily.

Basically If I'd not have visited another resort in Cancun and spoiled by them, I would've probably be satisficed with this resort. This resort shares it's pools with the surrounding condos, and we weren't exclusively all belonging to the resort, there's only two pools, and then there's two more pools that we're allowed to use but with other folks, that we know nothing of their screening process, nuff said.
