The rooftop restaurant was so enjoyable and Daniel provided excellent service . The small plates were perfect for our group of 5 and the drinks were delicious.

I want to start by saying I have been coming to this resort for over 10 years now and I have seen many changes in the policy's and food quality. The rooms have been ok in the past(several broken down items), this time, it was excellent. Housekeeping and maintenance were top notch! All of the concierge were awesome, knowledgeable, and available to help. Special recognition to Fernanda for making herself available and responding to all of our inquiries quickly and with professionalism. Many of the staff has been around since before I was coming here and they have always provided excellent service. Thank you to all the guys and gals at the pool and beach club, (Fernando, Mario,Victor,Julio,Charly,Jeurgen,Celia, Ibda, and Marco) sorry if i missed anyone. Jesus at lemongrass and the main pool area was awesome and fun. I feel especially thankful for the waiter at breakfast at Omaggio for getting the kitchen to make a special throwback meal for my wife. She used to rave about the Chilaquiles Pablanos that was on the menu for years, and then they took it off around 2022 and have not brought it back. Speaking about the menu, in the last 4 years, the cost has more than doubled and the quality in food has gone down considerably. When I first opted into the timeshare, the all inclusive was $80, on average per day. Now the average is over $280 per day. They have instituted restrictions on alcohol types and/or "levels". For some reason, Modelo Especial is now impossible for the resort to obtain. Actually, I would say, the beer selection is incredibly lacking and not to the standards of this resort when it originated. The food, in my opinion, does not even compare to what it was just 6 years ago. I have so many pictures and stories of the food, the menu, the meals we all shared together, and now, it is my least favorite thing at this resort! As someone that spent decades in and out of nearly ever position in restaurants and bars around the world, I say with full confidence, they changed the food because of cost. Cost of employees, cost of food and supplies, cost of experience! What ever it was, it was not due to a lack of ability because this place HAD amazing food years ago. Now its just plain lazy and much less in quality. The tuna tostada is a perfect example, i have amazing photos from years past that would make the current version look like a 3rd graders thrown together science project. If I had to say one specific thing, I'd say it is about quality control "sloppy".
