The only downfall we found with this property was that they do not permit reservations for the a la carte restaurants. Their process is that the guests stand in line and wait for the restaurant to open (6pm) and then in such order can place themselves on a reservation list. But, they fill up quickly and even after standing in line for the opening of 6pm the only times we were offered were after 9pm.

“Overall great stay”

I found the room pleasant with good floor plan. The bathroom was fine however the shower was quite hot even when no hot water was chosen. The bathroom fan did not seem to work. I found the room pleasant with good floor plan. The bathroom was fine however the shower was quite hot even when no hot water was chosen. The bathroom fan did not seem to work. The staff was great and attended to our needs. Suggestion: for the room a request sheet for the bar fridge. Ex. did not need Pepsi but was always needing Pepsi light. Also better labelling at the buffet restaurant. I have allergies and wanted to make sure i did not eat the wrong item.

Food was very good. Actually impressive! We ate at the steak house once. Service was great. Asian was ok. Buffet was always amazing, so many choices. The breakfast buffet was insanely busy. Not a wide range of snack items around. Pools and beach amazing and warm. Lots of places to get out of the sun. We had the suite room on the 7th floor. Don't book expecting to use the jetted tub, the water trickled out, complained, nothing happened, plus there was no way to use the soap as it was attached to the wall in the shower, and there was so much grit in the bath, gross! Very dark in the shower as the lighting was poor. Did not go to any of the entertainment shows as it started at 930pm. Be careful on the stairs that go to the restaurants. Slippery, no hand rails, LOTS of stairs going up and down. Very difficult walking them. Never saw an elevator to get down there. I will not return there because of the difficulty walking those stairs, and the EXTREMELY long waiting times standing in line to check in. No water standing in the heat, and no breeze or fan, it was 430 and our room was not even ready!

The property has lots to do, all inclusive, great beach. The staff at the restaurants, housekeeping, is super nice, humble, sweet, very hardworking and go over the top to keep customers happy. The staff at the front desk is not rude but very different than the rest of the staff. The check-in process was my biggest complaint. Waited in line over an hour even though I completed check-in on line. There was a line specifically for people that completed the online process, but there was no person directing the lines so it was pointless. People were cutting in line, were in the wrong line, etc. 2 parties that were on the same shuttle from the airport were done before me on the regular line. It was very frustrating. We also revisited the "special services" desk to book a romantic dinner and the lady that worked there, picked up her phone. Literally pretended to type something even though she tapped the phone twice with her thumb. Then said it may rain and it won't be rescheduled if it does, we said it was fine and she said you'll get an email if we have room to do it, we didn't receive any emails so we checked back the next day and while we waited in line, she said her coworker to tell us there was no room. It was very weird and rude. My second biggest complaint was the gym. It is way too small for a property that size. The equiptment was dated, no AC, too many poeple tryign to work out in that tiny space was not only terrible, it's probably also a fire hazard. The entertainment was ok. I've visited other RIU's and this one was probably the most dated one but the entertainment crew was fun and they did what they could with what they have. Other than these things, the food was good, the service was good, and the facilities were enjoyable.
