As our stay at Niru Ocean Suites in Santa Cruz Huatulco is coming to an end, we felt it was important to share just how wonderful our experience has been. From the moment we arrived, Andrea at reception immediately made us feel welcome. She explained everything clearly and thoroughly, answered all our questions, and set the tone for what became an incredible stay. Every single day, Lorena and Magally made sure our room looked spotless and lovely. Coming back to beautifully arranged beds and those adorable towel creations became one of our favorite daily surprises. It’s the small thoughtful details that truly make a difference. Dinner was always a highlight thanks to Magdalena and Itzel. They provided exceptional service and quickly learned about our “sweet tooth,” making sure we never finished our dinner without an extra dessert. Their attentiveness and kindness did not go unnoticed. Our amazing concierge team, Diana and Ulises, brought so much personality and warmth to our trip. Always ready with a joke, always helpful, and always making us feel at home. From Diana showing us her Macarena moves to Ulises teaching us Spanish, it was always such a pleasure seeing them. And of course, Freddie at the beach, always smiling and ready to make you the perfect drink. Overall, the hotel experience was fantastic. The hotel is so small that within hours you get to know everyone and feel comfortable. The location is incredible, but what truly makes this place special is the staff — always kind, always attentive, and always ready to help. Thank you, Niru Ocean Suites, for such a beautiful stay. We leave with wonderful memories and full hearts.

Great hotel, quiet ambiance, wonderful beach. Rooms were very nice and well laid out. The adjacent town has many restaurants with very good prices. Two pools to choose from with a bar at each pool. If the beach is your scene then you are in luck. Nice bay type beach with very calm waters and a bar lots of umbrellas to sit under. But what makes the niru all inclusive is it's staff, The concierge Diana is extremely attentive and makes you feel as a family friend. Looking for ways to make your experience a better one; from suggesting activities to letting you know about restaurants and some hotel services to offering what the average price for goods. Also the support staff bartenders foodservices Were awesome, Miguel, Francisco, Jose Manuel were great greeting you with a smile. And providing awesome services.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Niru Hotel for a week and had a Junior Suite with Ocean view. What a wonderful little gem – the Suite was delightful, with a small kitchen, a very comfy bed and a view to die for! The suites are large, very comfortable and squeaky clean – and, as a person with sleep issues, I slept like a baby the entire time! ( do tell us which kind of mattress you use please). We were on the top floor with just the skies above and endless views! The in-room coffee machines produce excellent coffee so you can sit on your deck to watch the sunrise with your caffeine in hand. First off, this hotel has the most wonderful staff! Thank you to Andy, Amado and Ulyses for the warm welcome, your guidance and smiling faces every day! Thank you Diana and Jessica for your kind help and assisting when I was feeling unwell. Thank you to Jose Manuel and Francisco for the many laughs during breakfast, you made every morning something to look forward to! (just need to get that espresso machine fixed which was down while we were visiting 😉). Ana, Istel, Magdalena took care of us for the dinners and made us many lovely cocktails in the evenings and cared for us well. The staff, throughout, with one minor exception, was friendly, courteous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel has a great location at Santa Cruz beach and is closed to all the places you might want to visit. The main town, La Crucecita, is just a short cab or bus ride away. Location wise, it is hard to beat and it is a very new and modern hotel with beautiful touches of local artwork and less than 30 rooms. You have access to a beach club, that shares its space with a sister hotel nearby, a small beach area and a restaurant (Binisa) which is only for hotel guests which is nice and cozy. We found the breakfasts to be great – a mix of egg dishes, local fare and healthy items such as yoghurts, fruits and nuts and seeds. Lunches can be had either at the small Binisa restaurant (a la carte) or the Beach Club (buffet). We found the buffet to be hit and miss food quality wise but the restaurant was great with different options. Dinners had a list of a la carte items – we found the salmon, grilled chicken and mahi mahi to be the best. The steak and tuna were overcooked unfortunately. But you cannot go wrong with the 3 choices mentioned with a variety of sides. The food and drink quality can vary a bit – I wish juices could be fresh rather than sugary and diluted but overall, the meals are good and plentiful. If it was an option, we would opt for a breakfast only stay and have the option to eat our dinners outside for more variety. There are a few things that could be improved: I would recommend adding additional hooks on the walls near the entrance door in the rooms – there is little space to hang something and most folks come with warmer clothes and might want to hang something up. Also, more space around the wash basin would be helpful – we were 2 women travelling and there is never quite enough space for all our things. A little wooden shelf would be useful here. Otherwise, the rooms are fabulous and, as mentioned, modern and clean with everything one needs. I am back in rainy Vancouver and still miss the views! The food quality, and the variety, could be improved upon. The choices are less than in other all- inclusive hotels as far as restaurant and drinks go, but you make up for it for a nice, intimate experience as the hotel is small and you get a real chance to get to know the wonderful staff. Add some Mexican favourites! The beach area is very small and there are just 2 rows of loungers and most of them get snatched up by the guests of the sister hotel, the Bininguenda. They pay a lot less for their stay and get to have the same amenities like the Beach Club and the Beach access – there seemed to have been many folks traveling in groups and descended onto the beach taking over more than a row of beds at a time! I really feel, given the exclusivity and cost of the hotel, there should be some beds reserved just for the Niru guests. The same should go for the Beach club! There is an additional pool for just guests, but it is mostly in the shade during the afternoons and not a cozy area to sunbathe. Consider making some space for your own hotel guests! This would go a long way! The hotel also sells day passes for the Beach club and it can get very busy in that area. However, we loved our stay overall – and would love to be back again! Definitely the place to stay in and around Huatulco, if you are looking for a quiet, cozy experience and a special getaway. Muchos Gracias!

We arrived here after a 6 hour direct flight from Edmonton!!!! (get more direct flights). The taxi from the airport was excellent and quick. There were a couple of people ahead of us at checkin and I have never seen such an exhaustive list of signoffs from the room key bands (which were very convenient) to the towel cards and check in is a sit down experience. Staff brought us drinks and were very conscientious. We were shown to our room through a very circuitutous route ...two elevators with very confusing numbering. The room was fresh and very modern design. Only downside of the room is the coffee maker which makes horrid coffee. Also the walls are paper thin and you can here the staff talking on one side and "don't hurt me" blaring on someones phone on the suite next door. Dinner started at 7 and so we had a bit of time to kill and get unpacked. Dinner was a combination of buffet and a la carte. This included a grill menu as well as seafood options chicken and regular entrees. My husband had steak and I had the coconut shrimp. He found his steak a bit tuff but I loved the shrimp minus the hot sauce ( I asked for a sweet sauce but the staff did not understand). Desserts are sub par and not something outstanding here. Drinks on the other hand were great and the staff tried to make anything you asked for. Staff on the whole are very kind and do their best to accommodate you. I asked for a drink with fresh juice so they made me a lime drink. After we were tired from a day of travel and watched the news on tv. The tv has netflix and other streaming services but most of the offerings on the regular tv are in spanish and other than CNN BBC and few news stations in English the selection is limited. The next day we took a taxi to the downtown but due to the heat and the monotonous selection of touristy goods went back to the hotel after about an hour. Taxis are cheap to the downtown. (50 pesos/$4 cdn) We laid by the pool for the remainder of the morning and then had lunch. After lunch we went to see the lobster restaurant next door and were sorry that we could not try this as the lobsters they brought out to show us were enormous and very appetizing. We walked around the beach which was full of local families enjoying the Easter Weekend. The clientelle at the hotel is largely Mexican families and we were one of the few international families....very friendly and nice kids. Since we had checked in late in the day, staff arranged for us to have lunch even after the check out time....which we appreciated before we left on our ride to Peurto Escondido. We did not see any tours that interested us and so decided to enjoy our time
