We just returned from here. We normally go to Cuba so we needed a budget friendly option. We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is beautiful and clean with comfy beds, amazing food in the restaurant, and a great Starbucks on the end. The pools are small but usually weren't too busy. It is a 5 minute walk to Arrocito Beach (bring a snorkle mask!!). There is a little store across the street from the beach entrance that sells drinks and snacks. You can take a cab into town for 70-85 pesos or to Playa Santa Cruz which is a sandier beach. There is ocean view from every room, from the pools and restaurant. The staff are very friendly. The area is beautiful for walking but a lot of hills. My only complaints are that they NEED to put fridges in ALL of the rooms. It is too hot to not have a fridge for drinks, medications etc. They also need more than 2 balcony chairs in a room. They could also use a few more hangers and hooks on the walls. With these additions, this hotel would be perfect!

We spent 3 days at Villas Coral as a family. We booked a 2 queen room and the view was breathtaking. We saw whales from our balcony on the second day. The beds were comfy and it was really quiet. Our room had a fridge and hot plate and kettle. You can walk to Arrocito Beach from the hotel, just a few minutes down the hill. A short taxi ride to town costs 85 pesos. The hotel can call you a taxi and they arrive in minutes. The hotel view is breathtaking but there are some things potential guests should know. Be prepared for stairs. The pools aren't cleaned properly, and one of them has an algae issue. Wifi in the room is spotty. The air conditioning in our room had seen better days but it worked enough to keep it comfortable for sleeping. I felt the location of the hotel was too far removed from town and restaurant options for us. I think if you had a car, it would be fine, but having to take taxis multiple times a day to sightsee and go back out for dinner was tiring. I did really like the style of the hotel, it is beautiful and quiet. I would give it 5 stars for the view.

This is a quirky hotel, but not in a bad way. We came down for a quiet and relaxing holiday and that's what we got. This was an Air Canada vacation, and 3 different parties were on the transfer from the airport. Check in was slow, only 3 parties, 5 people altogether and it took a bit more than a half hour. We were given room 333 in the newer building. Upon entering, I noticed no safe and no mini fridge which was what I thought I purchased as part of the package from Air Canada. After speaking to the front desk, the safe was installed immediately but the fridge would cost us. The quote of the mini fridge rental was quite high. I later did the math from Chedraui that I could have purchased one cheaper than renting one for our two week vacation. The positives....this smaller hotel was the cleanest I ever been to. The staff is constantly cleaning everything. We mentioned sand in the elevator one day, and it was cleaned in 15 minutes, maybe... The view from just about every room is excellent. Last day there they had all the trees pruned and the view was even better. The infinity pool is lovely, and not really that busy. The other pool is nice and not busy at all. The hot tub I never went in and never saw anyone in it. We had a breakfast plan with our vacation and ate several lunches and dinners there, all of excellent quality and price was on par to similar restaurants in Huatulco. The room we had was cleaned daily, was spacious and again had great views of the ocean from the large balcony. The hotel itself is about a 5 minute walk to Arrocito Beach. The negatives...This location is a taxi ride to anywhere, especially in the heat. The lack of mini fridges in the newer section and the fact the guests can't ice in the hotel. Luckily we brought a cooler with us and figured out where to get ice close by. (Right across from the parking lot at Arrocito Beach is a little store and the lovely lady sells ice, if you are there give her your business) The Villas Coral needs to figure this out, it is a major issue in this heat. Air Canada's breakfast plan is limited to mostly Mexican dishes. While I thought they were of excellent quality and enjoyed every one of them, they could get spicy and not all tourists can handle that. The key and the safe failed to open 3 times. I get once in a while, but 3 times each.... Checkout was just us giving the keys to the towel people and then made us wait to check the room out for damages. Our transfer driver waited for a few minutes and then just left. Over all we would go back, but be prepared for plenty of taxi rides...

“Sunshine, Beach, Margaritas”

Stayed at Villas Coral 🪸 for the first time and really enjoyed the location,the pools and proximity to Arrocito beach.. Our room was in the New section and had the only elevator in the resort..if you have mobility issues, this is the building to stay in..the room was comfortable,but needs a fridge and a table and chairs,no other place to sit on besides the bed..also the bathroom should have a shelf under the sink for blow dryer and cosmetics etc..the bed was super comfortable,the air-conditioning worked well,WiFi was adequate..The staff in the breakfast area especially Luis was the best ..the staff at the bar were also great.. The breakfast included with my stay was very good,but I must say that they have no toaster for bread and the juice is not very good,also should have some buns, croissant for people looking to have only coffee and a bun or sweet.. Mexico is known for their pastries,sweet buns.. this hotel had none..with a few improvements it could be fantastic 😍 maybe they could include the Starbucks as part of the breakfast option,they have some muffins and cakes.. Overall ,yes I will gladly return to this resort for the wonderful staff the pools and ohhh the Margaritas...

“No hot water over entire stay.”

We were quite disappointed with this property. When we checked in, we let the front desk know that we had no hot water. Although we told the front desk multiple times by calling and by going by in person, that we STILL didn't have hot water, the issue was never fixed over the course of a three nigh… more

We were quite disappointed with this property. When we checked in, we let the front desk know that we had no hot water. Although we told the front desk multiple times by calling and by going by in person, that we STILL didn't have hot water, the issue was never fixed over the course of a three night stay. The location wasn't bad, a short drive to town and to beaches, but I would not reccommend this property. My son left his towel by the pool and, even though a hotel worker picked it up, upon checkout we were charged $25 to replace an extremely thin, worn towel.
