If you have no great expectations, this is the hotel for that holiday when you just want to have sunbath on the sandy beach, and have your evening-beers on the balcony. The owner, Saban is a very friendly and helping man, if you have the luck to catch him being in Ulcinj, staying at the hotel, he'll make your stay more pleasant. He is speeking english and german very well. There was also a nice looking and very kind girl who was also doing very well with the english. Otherwise the hotel is clean, they are cleaning every day, no complains about these aspects. A facelift of bathrooms would be useful, also a greater diversity of the breakfast would be an idea to consider. Fortunately there is an excellent bakery at the corner with some heavenly bureks, so no one will starve to death. The hotel has also it's own restaurant, I've never tried it, but the meals doesn't look bad on the plates I've seen by others:). If you don't like long walks, then you have to use your car. There are also taxis, which are very cheap, they get you not quite from the towncenter to the hotel for about 3 euros. The citycenter is abut 40 minutes walking distance from the hotel, the nearest beach about 10 minutes, but this one is overpopulated, so you have to drive a little bit towards the Albanian border in order to find more relaxed surroundings. I recommend this hotel if you don't expect luxury, rich breakfast, you don't have exaggerated needs and you are willing even to close an eye when it's indicated in order you can fully focus on your relaxation.

We stayed for a week at Hotel Petriti - it wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptionally good either. Our bathroom was in bad condition, as one can't close the door, and the shelf under the mirror was broken too. The room was simple, which isn't a problem for us, but don't expect exciting decorations. The breakfast was simple but ok, with options like boiled eggs, pancakes, sirene (white brine cheese), tomatoes, cucumber, cold cuts, and coffee or tea as you like, and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The beach is a 10 min walk from the place, but if you are looking for a busy place and the medina/downtown, you better have a car (or choose another hotel to stay), because it's another direction, and it's pretty far by walk. Be prepared that sometimes the place is run out of electricity - this is a general problem in the country...

We stayed 5 days at the Petriti and had a good experience for the most part. The staff are by far the property's greatest asset! Good service from check-in, housekeeping, and the restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable, but could use some updating. Good AC and relatively spacious. A nice balcony, but no sea view and if it is an issue, it is not exceptionally private as the neighboring room's balcony is only separated by bars. The LCD TV was very small and had only non-English channels. The bed was comfortable, but the linens seemed a bit worn. The bathroom was my only serious complaint...the shower had great water pressure and temperature, but was covered with a shower curtain that was not well maintained and did not keep water from running all over the floor. Breakfast selection was dismal. Nothing healthy offered most days, but the staff prepared us eggs and bought me yogurt when requested. I found that very accommodating, but certainly, it is an area that could use some attention and improvement. Food at the restaurant was very good....fresh salads, nice wood oven pizzas and fabulous fresh baked bread. Overall, this hotel is clean and comfortable, but by no means a luxury stay. For the price, it was adequate. It is in a great location if you intend to go to the long beach and far less congested than trying to stay in the Ulcinj old town area. If you're not driving, it's about a 10 minute walk to the first section of the long beach...but I would definitely NOT recommend this section. Drive 3km and sit at MCM Beach! It was the most well-maintained beach section of the long beach and had great amenities for the same price as the others. (5-6 Euros for 2 padded chairs and umbrella)
