Travelers will love this beautifully restored riad! The location near the Blue Gate is perfect, and the accommodations and authentic food were excellent (thank you, Miriam, for the breakfasts on the rooftop and dinners in the riad!) We definitely needed our guide, Hassan, in the medina to direct us to interesting sites - the original tannery, metal works, rug merchant, pottery workshop, spicery, etc. And the girls really enjoyed the scrub in the hammam nearby. Excellent stay! (Only negative: Lots of uneven stairs...worth the effort, though!) Even though it was Ramadan, Abdennour made our two nights very memorable ones...thanks!

“Excellent location and atmosphere ”

Right next to the blue gate: a perfect location for visiting fez. The people are extremely helpful and the rooms very typical and comfortable. The food is also good and authentic. The owner is also available for organising day trips from fez.

One of the best riad we stayed in during our trip to Morocco. The room was very clean and it even had an Ac. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They speak French and some English, so it is easily to get along with them. The location is great, just few minutes from the Blue Gate. However, they are lacking a sign exactly where the Riad is, so it might get a bit confusing to find it, especially if you reach there at night. As compared to Marrakech, the locals helped without asking for any money. The city itself is more authentic. The owner also offered to organize transport to the airport, so highly recommend the riad for the professionalism of the people there.

This small riad is quite conveniently located near one of the entrance door of the Medina, in a small blind alley. It is very near to the parking lot of Bou Jeloud, so you actually don’t need a rented cart for bags if you park there (about 50 dirham for two whole days). Pay attention that nobody is at the riad normally, so it is better to stay in touch with the owner not to face a closed door when you arrive (even though when we passed by the owner’s house, he stepped out by himself). We had the suite at the first floor, quite confortable with the bathroom shared by the two rooms placed on both sides of the bathroom. Decent furnishing in the bathroom and in the rooms. Not that much space to place dresses or luggage content. You can get the entrance door key, so you can get back from your dinner anytime. Breakfast (on the roof) is wonderful. We also had an enjoyable dinner at the riad where you may have a bottle of wine as well (and the Moroccan wine may be unexpected in quality). The owner is very friendly and ready to help in any possible way, and all the hotel staff too. Not the most luxurious spot, but definitely a good choice. With some renovation, a four star mark would be deserved.
