I stayed at the riad kettani for a few days in August and could not recommend it highly enough!! The lovely Latifah seen to all of our needs and our special needs son got a shoulder massage each morning at breakfast!! Would definitely go back. One word of warning. I stayed at the riad kettani for a few days in August and could not recommend it highly enough!! The lovely Latifah seen to all of our needs and our special needs son got a shoulder massage each morning at breakfast!! Would definitely go back. One word of warning. If trying to find the riad in Fez and a very helpful person appears and offers to help,usually on a scooter, do NOT avail of their services!! It'll not end well!! Latifah knows all the certified guides and drivers and it'll save you a lot of bother. Once again thank you so much Latifah 🤠

I spent two weeks at Riad Kettani in the August heat, and what unfolded was not just a stay, but an experience of the spirit of Fes itself. A night or two in any hotel can deceive — but in two weeks, you feel the true essence of a place. Tucked away on a quiet street of the medina, the riad reveals itself like a secret. When I entered with the porter I hired to carry my bags from the taxi/train, even he — a local Moroccan — paused, drew in his breath, and whispered, “Beautiful.” The house is not ostentatious, but it radiates Jamal — Beauty in its purest, most dignified form. The people here embody that same spirit. Latifa, whose name in Arabic means “gentle, subtle,” is exactly that — a soft, gracious presence who checked in each day with care and kindness. Abdou is the living image of Adab, the highest courtesy. Their presence makes you feel not like a guest, but like a cherished part of the household. And then, the terrace. To write of it is almost impossible, as it must be experienced to be understood. At 4am every morning I would find myself there as the first prayers of the day (many times lasting over 40 minutes before the first call to prayer) echoed through the hills and across the rooftops of Fes. My first mornings were a full moon, and I watched the transit of the moon until the new moon, 12 days later. An experience beyond words, worth setting an alarm for. My room was comfortable, the bed restful, the air conditioning most appreciated on 42°C (108°F) days. The food was exquisite — the best I have eaten in Morocco — prepared and served with a depth of love that could be tasted in every bite. I have traveled widely, but I don’t believe I have ever stayed anywhere in the world as amazing as this Riad. Fes is the jewel of Morocco and as far as Riads are concerned, Riad Kettani is the jewel of Fes.

We enjoyed the Riad and its wonderful rooms. We were very comfortable and felt safe while there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Finding the Riad can be confusing so be sure to call ahead just before arriving so they can provide instructions on parking and help to carry your luggage. I… more

We enjoyed the Riad and its wonderful rooms. We were very comfortable and felt safe while there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Finding the Riad can be confusing so be sure to call ahead just before arriving so they can provide instructions on parking and help to carry your luggage. It is a distance to walk inside the Medina to the Riad and you will appreciate having luggage service and help on where to park your car.
