We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Eden Andalou Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and throughout our stay, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is varied and delicious, and the pools and activities make it a perfect place to relax and have fun. A special thank you to Badr from the Public Relations and Animation team, who truly made our stay even more enjoyable. He is incredibly friendly, energetic, respectful, and always smiling. He knows how to create a great atmosphere and make guests feel welcome and involved. His positive energy really stood out and made a big difference during our stay. Thank you to Badr and the entire team for making our experience so memorable. We will definitely recommend Eden Andalou to others and would be very happy to come back again!

“Great family holiday.”

First time in Morocco, with a 17 year old girl and 15 year old boy, and it has been fantastic. Resort is lovely, rooms clean and comfortable. The food is very varied and tasty. All of the staff are amazing, very professional and helpful. There are always staff cleaning and gardening to keep the grounds looking tidy and attractive. The entertainment team are great fun and very friendly encouraging but not forcing participation, Jeo, Jemmy, Saaid and Mike. Sports facilities, football and gym are good. Learning Arabic, taught by Jeo, has been a particular highlight for me. A visit into Marrakesh and the main square / Souks was a great experience, busy, colourful and a real treat to see outside the resort itself. The Aqua Park is a good addition to the resort and offers something extra to do. Will definitely come back.

I have had such a great experience here at Eden and Lou hotel the staff are amazing especially the entertainment team Soukaina has been very welcoming to me and my family including us in all the activities there is such a good mix of things to do in this hotel. They made our stay to much more fun. The rooms are clean and tidy the hotel itself is stunning. Beautiful grounds, big pools, amazing staff, and everything was kept spotlessly clean. Food is delicious various options to choose from each day that’s suits everyone. Every single staff member has been warm and welcoming ensuring you’re happy with everything.

“Good family holiday but not a 5 star hotel.”

Currently staying here on a family holiday, (wife and two daughters aged 15 and 17) so I'm writing about our experience so far....  The hotel is conveniently located about 20 minutes taxi from the airport.  Apparently, they offer a free taxi pick up service, but I was unable to book it. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member, albeit a lowly silver, but I was unable to do this from the app or the website and was directed to the Marriott activities page, where I ended up booking a taxi, via Marriott and paying for it. It charged me in US Dollars and cost $27.78, which I cluded an extra payment I elected, of $10.05 for meet and greet. However, when we arrived, there was no meet and greet at all, so that was a con! I received a WhatsApp message the night before our departure from the UK, from a Moroccan number, introducing themselves as the assistant to the driver and asking me to message again when we arrived at the airport in Marrakech and walked outside. The message included a picture of a sign outside the airport, with a tour/transfer company name on it. I sent a message when we disembarked and also when we walked outside. I was expecting to see someone with a name board, but there was nobody there. Instead, I looked for the sign in the picture message and headed for that. Again, there was nobody there. A guy standing at another board asked if we had booked a taxi, to which we obviously said we had. He shouted for another guy, who came across and asked for my name and booking reference number. I eventually found it after wading through my emails. Surely, he should have been there with my name on a board, ready for us? We waited another 5 minutes for the mini van to arrive. The driver loaded our luggage and then took us to the hotel. On arrival, the grounds appear to be well looked after and the reception area was light, large, modern and welcoming. The property is not located near anything of interest and is around 20 minutes from Marrakech city, although we knew that before our arrival. We were greeted at the front desk and asked to take a seat. Our luggage was taken off us and then we were presented with some short forms to complete with our personal details, which we in turn presented to the receptionist, along with our passports. We were checked in, but the rooms were not ready. Again, this is what we expected because check in is advertised as 3pm and it was midday. However, we were given our all inclusive bands and told we could use the main restaurant to eat some lunch and then return to reception as we were told they would try to have the room ready by then. We did this and true to their word, the room was ready and the key was handed over at about 1330. So....the hotel itself. I would not class it as a 5 star. More like a 4 star. We booked a larger deluxe family room and it is indeed a good size for our family, with one huge bed and three single beds. The large bed is comfortable but the mattresses on the singles are pretty hard and the girls have said they're not particularly comfortable. There is a curtain which can be pulled across between the main room and the area with the single beds, to provide more privacy. The bathroom is big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Two, two litre bottles of water are provided each day which can be kept cold in the fridge. The room is located in a quiet part of the hotel, so there is no disturbance from noise. Housekeeping team do a good job and it is always very clean. Overall, pretty good. All of the staff we have encountered have been really nice, happy, friendly, professional and helpful. We cannot fault them at all, so a shout out and a thank you to them all! At the main property, there is a large pool, a smaller children's pool and a paddling pool. There have always been enough sun beds, but unless you come to the pool before 7am, there is very little chance of getting some under the shade of the parasols. It is around 40 degrees C, so shade is a welcome relief. Sadly, one of my pet hates of selfish people reserving those prime beds is in full swing here. We arrived just after 8am one morning, to find them all reserved, but less than 5 people present, two of which were staff! Some hadn't even put towels on them, but simply placed a single item, like an armband, a bottle of sun screen or a hat on them, whilst others had long floats stretched across two or three beds, along with some small pool toys on others. The people who were responsible did not show up until gone 10/11am. As I said, this is a pet hate of mine as it is a practice which is incredibly selfish and inconsiderate. Sadly, my wife wouldn't allow me to throw the bits into the pool, so we had to find alternate beds until some became free later in the afternoon. This has been the case every morning and I think this should not be tolerated by staff and some sort of rule should be enforced as it is with other places we have stayed at. There has also been a problem with the paddling pool for the last couple of days, with brown residue leaking into it from somewhere. Staff have had to clean it out and at one point, it was cordoned off. Overall though, the pool area is nice and all of the sunbeds and parasols are in good condition....although they are not covered with any sort of padding or cushioning, so you simply lay your pool towel on the mesh, which can get uncomfortable. Pool towels cost a deposit of 200 Dirham each, which is returned on your last day. The towels can be exchanged for fresh ones as often as you like. The pool bar is ok, with a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks, coffees, cocktails and mocktails. The soft drinks are branded, but the alcohol is not - as expected, it is all local, but they are generous on the measures. Local bottled beers are also available and poured into small plastic beer tankards. The staff there are always happy and friendly, despite working so very hard! The same local drinks are available in the other bars, but there is draught beer available in the main hotel bar. Premium brands are available at an extra charge. There are comfortable seats and plenty of other chairs and tables in the bar and the courtyard outside. A band has been playing outside in the evening, which adds a bit of atmosphere. The only other entertainment we have been to see is the magic show....the entertainment is usually held downstairs on a stage in what is probably a conference room, but again, it's ok.  One of the downsides, as others have mentioned, is the presence of bees. There are loads of them! Whilst I am glad they are non aggressive honey bees, rather than wasps, they get very annoying! The situation is not helped by people leaving half empty drinks around, which attracts swarms of them like......well, the proverbial bees around honey! Drinks spillages which aren't cleaned up also attract them and we have had to point these out on several occasions, so that they can be wiped up. We did see a guy being stung, not once but twice, which was unfortunate. The grounds are large really nice and well looked after and provide some quiet away from the main pool. Another one off annoyance was the sounding of the fire alarm at 3am one morning and again at 8am the same morning. We were told that this was due to guests smoking in their room! Again, inconsiderate, or maybe just stupid?! All meals are taken in the main buffet restaurant and so far, breakfast, lunch and dinner have all been ok. Not a huge selection, but probably something for everyone and we have generally found various offerings to our taste. The local beer, red, white and rose wine are served, which are palatable, along with a variety of soft drinks.  The area could be cleaned more regularly though as there are often spillages on the floor and some of the seating and cushions need to be washed. However, I understand that staff here at meal times can be very busy and may not notice everything. There are two a la carte restaurants available to book, but we have not tried these yet. The staff did highlight that all food is included in these, but drinks are chargeable. They look nice though and the Asian restaurant in particular looks good and has a nice bar. There is an excursion office, offering various trips around Marrakech, the local sights and the countryside and Atlas mountains further afield. However, they are more expensive when comparing to similar excursions available on Viator or Get Your Guide. The hotel offers a free shuttle service into and out of Marrakech which can be booked 24 hours in advance. They run in and out several times a day, but the last return in 2000hrs, so if you want to stay later, you will need to book a taxi, but they should not cost more than 200 dirham (agree the price before you get in). The aquapark is great fun....my daughters and I have used it. I don't particularly agree with some other comments stating it is run down. It all seemed ok to me.  So overall, pretty good.
