A delightful stay recently at Jname Tamsna. We were staying in one of the luxury tents away from the main building – beautifully equipped with a deliciously comfortable bed and really good quality toiletries and bathrobe – very important! The whole ambience of the hotel is one of laid-back luxury, and their ethics are excellent with a garden growing their own produce. Notes for future visitors: 1. the hotel is situated about a 20 minute drive from the Medina so you will need a taxi for every trip. 2. The staff are very friendly. 3. The owners live on site and are very friendly and approachable. 4. It is tricky to find reception on arrival - especially if you arrive after dark! You have to walk through the whole hotel and past the pool to find the reception area 5. Maybe we were unlucky but we didn’t get a tour of the hotel so had to try and work out where the pools and breakfast areas were. 6. There is no menu for lunch or dinner, you have to tell the staff whether you will be there for these meals and they will sort out a table for you. My top tip here is to actually text the Concierge - simply telling a member of staff may not get the message to the right person.

I stayed at Jnane Tamsna as a solo traveller on the last leg of my journey from Casablanca to Marrakesh and all points in between. This place is too beautiful for words! I was quickly booked in and made comfortable and seated o to enjoy a meal that was both delicious and lovely.. The hospitality of the staff is incomparable. I was overjoyed when Madame Loum-Martin came over greeted her guests and sat and had a meal along side us! Madame Loum-Martin is the consumate hostess and speaks on topics such as the African diaspora, current events, politics and the environment with equal parts honesty, insight, practicality and charm. She is so perfectly well rounded and informed. I stayed in a room that was beautiful, comfortable and healing. The grounds are immaculate. The meals are plentiful and the accommodations are a treat to the eye as far as the eye can see. I had luxurious soap, towels, bedding books and service from all staff with a smile. I was invited to share a meal with Madame one evening where I was introduced to her dear friends and associates. Madame made me to feel included and welcome as one of the few non French speakers at the table. She has a way of including all in the conversation and putting you at you ease. This meal was a grand dinner and if you have seen pictures of her fetes it is all of that and more! I hope to go back to Jnane Tamsna in 2026. This is a paradise where you can rest, retreat and renew surrounded by beauty and charm.

As a Moroccan from the Southeast, currently residing between Marrakech and Tangier, I've had the pleasure of visiting many luxury accommodations, including villas and riads. However, nothing I've experienced compares to the magical oasis that is Riad Jnane Tamsna. Meryanne Loum-Martin, the visionary designer behind this piece of heaven, possesses a truly special touch. She elevates Moroccan handicrafts to an exquisite level, and simply stepping into the riad allows visitors to immediately feel its unique vibe, spirit, and energy. Meryanne's strong character and charisma also contribute significantly to the riad's high-class atmosphere and positive energy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. And the food? A truly magical experience. Thank you for hosting us and sharing this wonderful experience.
