For a large biannual family reunion (23 people) we stayed at Domaine de Tameslohte. The rooms were clean and promptly serviced in the morning. The beds were comfortable. We had meals inside the building with a nice chimney fire on, and, when weather permitted, outside under the olive trees. Service was always very friendly and prompt. They accommodated special requests for vegetarian, vegans, and toddlers always with a smile. The external area is beautifully appointed. We had "apperitivo" before dinner there. There are many niches were one could sit and relax away from the group. The swimming pool is heated for this time of year and is covered at night, keeping the water very clean. The garden is beautifully zen, with the sound of the water fountains providing a nice background. Outdoor gym equipment is available as well as rides on bikes and quads. The Hamam offers the traditional Maghreb spa treatment as well as massages. My massage of 1 hour was very professional and well done. I couldn't think of any better location for our family gathering.

A real pleasure to stay here! The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and the grounds are beautiful and tidy. My husband and I especially loved the cats and the dog that roam free. They will even sometimes visit your room! The staff is amazing (really super!) - even when my husband got sick, they were very helpful in the middle of the night. We decided to move to the city for our last few days but that was a mistake, we should have stayed at Domaine de Tameslohte. It is so peaceful and the taxi service to bring you to and from the city was perfect.

“Lovely, quiet, relaxing”

The hotel itself is lovely, with well-laid out gardens, an inviting pool, comfy beds and a powerful hot shower. There are lots of comfy seating areas around the grounds, and a petanque area. The hotel itself is lovely, with well-laid out gardens, an inviting pool, comfy beds and a powerful hot shower. There are lots of comfy seating areas around the grounds, and a petanque area. Upstairs rooms have views of the Atlas mountains. Be aware that it is quite a way out from central Marrakech, which is both a + and a -. On the one hand, it is delightfully peaceful, restful and relaxing away from the city. On the other, going into the city requires about half an hour and 150 dirhams. The restaurant offers a choice of about 5 starters, 5 mains and similar desserts, which change daily (although not all that much). A main course is 130 dirhams, or two courses are 160. The food is a mix of French and Moroccan and doesn't push any culinary boundaries, but was generally pretty good (one tasteless Bouef Bourguinon aside). Our room was cleaned daily and in fact the whole place was very clean, and the staff very friendly and attentive. One downside is that breakfast doesn't start until 8 a.m., and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. On the two occasions we were booked on trips out, these both had 8 a.m. pick-ups. This meant that we had to depart without the benefit of tea or coffee. For a couple of tannin and caffeine addicts this puts quite a serious dampener on the start of the day! However, overall we had a lovely 8 days here and would certainly recommend. Finally, a tip. We found it cheaper booking direct through the hotel than using expedia/trivago etc etc who all quoted the same (higher) price. However this does entail emails to the hotel who weren't always the quickest at responding, and these were all in French which tested my schoolboy memory (thank you, Google translate). You'll also have use International Bank transfer to send the 20% deposit. However, as I say, it saved us quite a few euro, so if you are prepared to make the effort....
