We had the green room on the first floor - which was great since I was with my mom who is 82. The riad is a bit tough to find - but really they all are. Once we figured out what gate (behind the bus station) we were near, it was pretty easy to navigate. We were warned by our driver that the area is sketchy. We were super nervous the first night and probably a bit overly rude to the neighbor boys (who all wanted money to direct us the first night) since we were afraid. However, once they realized that we were Couleurs du Sud guests, we were not hassled at all. The riad has a lovely courtyard and small dipping pool. We ate two meals there - both tagines - that were good but not amazing. The breakfasts consisted of lots of bread types, some cheese, and yogurt. The staff is very accommodating and really makes the extra effort even though most don't speak any English (or very little). I recommend that you have dinner reservations (they can't serve you dinner in the riad without advance notice) and a plan on how to get there when you arrive the first night. We made the mistake of letting their driver take us to a very cheesy touristy spot where we both got sick from the lousy food on the first night. Our room was beautifully decorated in shades of green. There is no air conditioning but we did not feel we needed it. The bathroom is unique and lovely. It could possibly be a noisy room, because all the windows open onto the courtyard and there are tables right there. However, we travel with a sound machine so we did not have a problem. The higher rooms would be quieter.

After more than 2 weeks in morocco we have stayed in all sorts of places, from super cheap accomodation to the more expensive Riads, and we can definitely confirm that for 430dh, this riad is extremely good value for your money, especially in Marrakesh. We have stayed at places costing ~600dh that were less comfortable. The riad looks newly renovated and is tastefully decorated, which gives a feeling of luxury. They have an amazing terrace with sunbeds and towels, smaller picknick tables, plants and so on, making it like an oasis in the middle pf the city. The room itself holds a high standard and is light, pretty spacious and with fresh air. The bathroom was superclean with a big shower, hot water, and they even bother to give you shampoo and shower gel which we rarely have experienced even in the more expensive riads. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and so nice that we for the first time on our trip managed to oversleep and were late for the breakfast that the kind porter Hassan and his colleague had prepared for us at 0700am. So sorry for the stress in the morning Hassan and thank you for your help - we made it to our bus ☺️ Note: the riad is located on the outer rim of the medina so it’s a bit far from the central square. On the other hand it is quite close to both the train and bus stations! All in all, we can only regret not booking this place for a longer time and we would definitely stay here again :)) Damien & Tove

Absolutely fabulous riad! The staff were amazing and very helpful. The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean and quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and one of them took us to a restaurant one evening, as we were having trouble finding our way around the maze! It was truly a little bit of paradise amongst the chaos of the souks. Very central to all the attractions and would definitely recommend this riad and will return. Thank you all for a truly wonderful experience!
