Everything about our stay at Riad Noir d’Ivoire was exceptional. I’ve been to Marrakech several times and stayed at some of the city’s most iconic hotels, including Royal Mansour and El Fenn. I can honestly say that this was the most memorable trip I’ve had to Marrakech, and a huge part of that was staying here. This is, without a doubt, the most authentic Marrakech experience you can get. The riad is breathtakingly beautiful and makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. Every corner reflects incredible taste and attention to detail. Nothing feels random or overdone. Everything has been thoughtfully curated, and the result is simply mesmerizing. It’s also clear that the owner spared no expense when creating this place. You notice it immediately in the quality of the furniture, the craftsmanship, and even details like the Bang & Olufsen speakers in every room and the incredible sound system in the central courtyard. Despite the intimate setting, the soundproofing is surprisingly good. We barely heard any other guests during our stay, which made it feel even more private and relaxing. I genuinely think this is the perfect place for couples. It’s incredibly romantic, every room has its own unique character, and the entire riad creates an atmosphere that’s difficult to describe until you experience it yourself. A special thank you to Steve, the owner, for making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. He is genuinely warm, hospitable, and simply a wonderful person with impeccable taste. You can really feel his personality reflected throughout the riad. We’d also like to thank every single member of his team. Everyone was exceptionally professional, kind, and attentive, and they made our vacation truly unforgettable. One final thought. If your idea of a perfect vacation is staying in your room watching TV and spending your mornings at an endless breakfast buffet, this probably isn’t the right place for you. But if you want to experience the real soul of Marrakech, to feel as though you’ve stepped back in time and immersed yourself in the city’s unique atmosphere, I honestly can’t think of a better place to stay. P.S. If you’re wondering which room to book, I’d wholeheartedly recommend either the Chameau Master Suite or the Panthère Grand Master Suite. We had the chance to experience both, and each has its own unique charm. You really can’t go wrong with either.
