We were met at the airport by our pre arranged driver and met at the end of the pedestrian street by our host Mustapha. This is the best way to arrive otherwise it could be tricky finding the Riad, especially at night. After the traditional welcom of mint tea we were shown to our room, the one with the courtyard with fruit trees. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and although the shower was ‘interesting’ it worked well. The Riad is very convenient for the sights, the souk and taxis. The internet was a bit slow but did work. The breakfasts were excellent. We enjoyed our stay and it was a very peaceful place to come back to after a day in the busy city. It did get a little cooler at night but we found that the heater took of the chill nicely. After all these Riads were designed to keep cool during the hot weather not to be warm when it is cool. Mustapha could not have been more pleasant or more helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

“Peaceful and Picturesque”

We stayed 5 nights in the Riad and were extremely happy with the amenities and staff. We had beautiful breakfasts on the roof terrace each morning and the Riad was a peaceful escape from the busy souks each day. We had the most friendly, helpful and gracious host who helped to make our stay not only successful, but truly memorable; he attended to our every request "with pleasure." I only refrain from giving 5 stars because our room was quite cold. This made sleeping comfortable - there were plenty of blankets - but mornings and evenings were very chilly in the room. The Riad is beautifully decorated, but is on the more rustic side. We would definitely stay here again.

The riad has three courts which explains its name. A riad must have a fountain and greenery which Trois Cours has. One court has a pool. Another one has a fountain and the last has fruit trees. We were greeted by the ever patient Mustafa who brought us tea. Our room had a high ceiling with a chandelier. It was a pretty room but I was disappointed with the bath tub. It was made out of cement and glazed. Unfortunately, the glaze had a web of cracks making it unsightly. It it had not been for the tub, I would have given the place a perfect rating of 5. We had an early morning flight. Mustafa woke up late and the taxi driver had already called the hotel wondering what happened to us. But I cannot blame Mustafa. He must have been tired since the hotel was full at the time. All in all, a good stay except for the bath tub.

The Riad itself is a beautiful structure that is well decorated and very well located. Sadly, the service and amenities are what earned this accommodation only an average rating. For a "4 star hotel" it was lacking in 4 star quality. Upon arrival, we were being aggressively harassed by two street guys all the way up to the riad door. The staff at the riad just stood there holding the door open and did nothing to help us as these guys yelled and threatened us. The Riad was extremely cold (despite it being winter and us not expecting extensive heating everywhere, all of our other Riads in Morocco had adequate heat). To their merit, the staff did offer us an extra heater, which we appreciated- but it only gave off as much heat as a toaster. There was very limited hot water to bathe. The hairdryer only worked intermittently. The wifi was EXTREMELY slow (again, we didn't expect super-speed wifi in Morocco but had great wifi at all other accommodations on this trip). The bed sheets were stained with black marks all over the pillows, sheets and blankets and there was hair on my pillow case. The dinner was bland and overpriced - we had a much better meal at our Riad in Fes for half the price. Despite having a credit card machine, we weren't allowed to pay for our dinner and airport transfer with anything but cash - this was told to us last minute and we barely had enough dirhams to cover it as it was the end of our trip and we were expecting to use card for the whole bill and not just the room fees. Honestly, it's a nice accommodation but the issue here is that it is advertised as 4 star quality. If you knew to expect only 2 star, you'd be perfectly content and just enjoy this Riad for its amazing location. But when you're advertising yourself as 4 star quality, I at least expect clean bedsheets. Every other Riad we stayed at all over Morocco on our trip was incredible, with amazing staff and gorgeous facilities even when just advertised as a train-side hostel. This one really failed to meet the mark.
