I should say we didn't book this hotel but we were relocated from Tikida Gardens 2 days before our trip.. As we were travelling without our children for once being relocated further from town to a family hotel (TG is adult only) we were unimpressed to say the least but to be fair in many ways Tikida Palmeraie is a better hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The low rise buildings nestling in desert planting with lots of floral planting, ponds with fountains and various sitting areas. The rooms are a bit tired tbh but comfortable. We had a suite which was very large with separate toilet and shower room. Unfortunately no bath. The food is very good with lots of choice. The two main downsides are; 1. it only has one large pool though which for us was a downside as it it means you have to listen to the 'animation' events and there is no quieter pool. 2. The distance from the Medina. You cannot walk in (dual carriageway for first couple miles) which means you have to rely on the infrequent shuttle service or pay 150Dh for a taxi (approx £12). We spent a fortune going in and out. I would recommend this hotel is you don't intend to go into the medina much and are happy to relax by a pool but not if you are a bit more adventurous/want t go out for dinner.

Very nice Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Just need some renovation around the pool - sunbeds and umbrellas. Could have some improvements regarding the variety of the food in the restaurants.

My daughter and I are very well travelled and throughly enjoyed our stay here recently apart from a few things which could do with being improved . I asked for a quiet room, high floor and with a pool view. All of which we were given which was a good start. Amazing, huge pool but, absolutely freezing as it’s not heated. Presumably when the temperature increases it warms naturally. There is an indoor pool too but, the water looked a bit cloudy and it was full of children !! The parasols and sunbeds need to be upgraded as many were broken. Also, be careful of the broken and cracked tiles around the pool area. A note to anyone who likes a cuppa in their room (this didn’t apply to us) there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I believe quite a few people brought their own kettle etc !! We absolutely loved the food - very authentic. Maybe not to everyone’s taste as I saw many people’s plates piled high with burgers, chips and pizza!! We made use of the free bus into the medina at night and got a cab home. We have been there before but, still an amazing experience. It reminds me of scenes from Raiders Of The Ark definitely when strolling through the Souks. After such an amazing holiday it was totally ruined by being told there were no late check out rooms we could pay more. Although a friend we made leaving on the same flight as us managed to book one. Having travelled to many Rui hotels far and wide I then asked to have time in a curtesy room . I couldn’t believe it when I was told by rather uninterested male staff on reception they didn’t have any curtesy rooms. I find this totally unacceptable. They know the TUI flights leave late at night so this must happen every week. We were told to shower and change in the indoor pool area. The friends we made who somehow managed to keep their room on let me use their room and my daughter got ready in the indoor pool area - not ideal!! After such an amazing holiday to me this totally ruined my holiday. I might sound rather dramatic and I completely understand if the hotel is full but, even if only a couple of rooms are available on limited time curtesy rooms should be available.

On the whole lovely holiday, pool area requires a little TLC, umbrellas and. Sunbed, past their best
