The room was a bit small with nowhere really to put our bags. By rearranging the furniture we came up with a workable arrangement. Some better lighting would have been a bonus. The bathroom has the oddest arrangement I have ever seen. Most of the space is taken up with a bathtub which has a handheld shower but no curtain. Of course, water will go everywhere if you are not very careful. Don't worry; behind the door is another shower which guarantees that water will go everywhere because there is no enclosure whatsoever. At the opposite end of the bathroom, behind the toilet is the drain for the water that is now completely flooding the bathroom. Brilliant design. We ended up taking showers by kneeling in the bathtub. The courtyard/pool/garden area is very pleasant and it makes up somewhat for the deficiencies of the room. The wifi was terrific. Breakfast was OK although some cereals would have been welcome. The fake orange juice should be avoided.

Given this is a two star hotel, and that we chose to spend our money on day trips and not accommodation, it was fine. If you don’t expect it to be amazing than it will be more than adequate. Given this is a two star hotel, and that we chose to spend our money on day trips and not accommodation, it was fine. If you don’t expect it to be amazing than it will be more than adequate. Only stayed here as it was one of only a very few hotels who had a room to accommodate 3 adults. Room not as advertised as it was not ‘pool view’ but was told that it was a mistake on booking.com The pool was sparkling clean and the rooms, although old, were also clean. The aircon worked fine if you managed to find ‘dry mode’ as otherwise it would be really damp. Breakfast was just ok, but not the worst we’ve had in Myanmar and at least the eggs were cooked to order. I wouldn’t chose to stay here again trough.

“Comfortable and Adequate”

This is an old Hotel that still affords clean and comfortable accommodation, and good quality sleep. Service good. Excellent Restaurant facilities and a good and varied breakfast. But the Hotel badly needs general maintenance and modernisation..

Rooms were old and basic. Booked by tour agency. No gym. Pool was small and water looked murky. Shower hot water was fine just that the signs were opposite hence maybe some people thought there were no hot water. In fact hot water could be scalding. Aircon was weak we turned on full blast and hence at least kept the room from being warm. Used old lock and key system. I will prefer to stay in a more expensive but better hotel next time. Could still make do if you just need a place to sleep for the night.
