In April of 2026 I had a 4 day three stay night at Green Park Chitwan. I am a devoted wildlife enthusiast who has been on safari in multiple countries, multiples times. I had been in communication with my travel agent up to a year in advance with special requests regarding this portion of the trip. I had hired a private jeep for a full day safari to specifically look for wild Sloth Bears in the park. I also had secondary goals of observing One Horned Rhinos and Gharial Crocodiles in the park. Upon arriving at the beginning of my stay I was a little concerned because it seemed there was some miscommunications between my travel agent and the hotel as the proposed schedule of events didn't match up with what was originally planned in my itinerary. Upon relaying my concerns to host Binod K. Chaudhary I was impressed as he instantly sprang into action. He assured me that he was very confident I would be able to see my three goal animals and communicated with my travel agent to rectify the schedule. Everything was fixed right away and changed to my preferences. All of my activities and safari's, including my special requests, such as private bookings specifically routed to look for sloth bears were granted. The following day Binod himself drove my wife and I to Chitwan National Park (about a 5 minute drive away) and pointed out to me wild gharials (one of my target animals) and marsh mugger crocodiles in the rapti river before we even entered the park. He then passed me over to my private guide, Resham. I was incredibly impressed with Resham's skill during our private safari. He was constantly asking other guides for information regarding recent sloth bear location sightings. He knew to patrol Sal Forests looking at termite mounds for fresh signs of the bears. During this time he was incredibly skilled at spotting numerous other animals. With Resham's help we saw over 21 different one horned rhinoceros in 1 days time. High quality, close sightings, including mating rhinos, grazing rhinos, rhinos crossing the road, and rhinos in mud wallows. Throughout the day Resham was diligent. He did not say we needed to take a lunch break or a tea break. He did not insist we needed to go back to the hotel at midday. He was willing to keep searching for wildlife non-stop throughout the day. Thanks to his efforts, we finally got an amazing sighting of a sloth bear. We got the sighting midday, during a time most safaris would be back at the lodge having lunch. It was a dream come true to see the sloth bear in the wild. In one day, with Resham's help we saw: 21 different rhinos. A sloth bear. Countless gharial crocodiles. Mugger crocodiles. Chital. A guar. Sambar Deer. Hog Deer. Muntjac aka Barking Deer. A feral elephant. Rhesus and Langur monkeys. Countless birds- including peacocks, jungle fowl, asian openbills, and lesser adjutant storks. Resham's skill made we want to upgrade to a second private safari the next day. Binod helped to facilitate all of the many changes and requests I had with kindness and patience. He also helped to arrange an early morning safari on the last day at 5:30 am which allowed me to see an addition 2 sloth bears, indian wild boars, another muntjac, and tons of chital. The grounds of Green Park Chitwan were clean and beautiful and there were multiple opportunities for bird watching around the grounds of the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and the air conditioners worked extremely well. The food was superb and the dinning and room staff was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed the Tharu cultural dance demonstrations on our first night. All and all, I highly recommend Green Park Chitwan. While the amenities and food are great, what really stands out is the staffs willingness and flexibility to handle special requests and changes. Binod was a gracious and wonderful host, and Resham's guiding skills helped us to have the best wildlife viewing experiences I've ever had in an Asian national park. Again, I wholeheartedly recommend Green Park Chitwan with the highest regards for high quality wildlife viewing in the Chitwan Area.

“The hotel for bird lovers!”

Green Park Chitwan was a beautiful place to stay, especially for bird and animal lovers. Green Park has a guide, Robbie, who is incredibly knowledgeable on Chitwan’s birds. Green Park Chitwan was a beautiful place to stay, especially for bird and animal lovers. Green Park has a guide, Robbie, who is incredibly knowledgeable on Chitwan’s birds. We saw over 100 new species during our stay. If you love birds, do yourself a favour and book yourself in to all of Robbie’s tours! The hotel staff were also incredibly friendly and shared in the excitement with us on hearing of all the animals we saw on safari, including a tiger, plenty of rhinos, leopard and sloth bear.

“Good Choice”

Good location. Kind staff. The room was comfortable. The manager was great and inquired daily about my needs. My safari packages are affordable priced. My guide was exceptional. Good location. Kind staff. The room was comfortable. The manager was great and inquired daily about my needs. My safari packages are affordable priced. My guide was exceptional. He asked what I wanted to see besides the rhinos, and then he went out of his way to find the animals I wanted to see. When most vehicles went in one direction in search of a tiger, he took me into the forest to search for bears per my request. Instead of starting our river safari from the typical place, he took me to a more remote stretch of the river because I wanted to see gharial crocodiles. Overall it was a good stay.

We had a wonderful time at the green park. The grounds were beautiful. The staff very accommodating and friendly. Our rooms were clean. The water was hot. We had a wonderful time at the green park. The grounds were beautiful. The staff very accommodating and friendly. Our rooms were clean. The water was hot. The jeep safari was wonderful as both our guide, Bvaan, and the driver were very patient and unhurried looking for desired animals. Bvaan was extremely knowledgeable about the jungle and personable. The canoe ride down the river was also a highlight. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the beds could be more comfortable and the food a little less than stellar. Would I go back? Absolutely! Great time with family. If I had a choice, I would’ve given the hotel a 4.7-4.8 rating.
