My best memories with my family have been made here since May 1996 ! Every visit is an adventure and every moment gives me another reason to appreciate life and I look forward to making new memories! Sanjeev Dai,bhauju and Rajeev Dai bhauju are the owners of this beautiful resort and they are friendly and welcoming. Abhishek, the Manager, is always ready to help and assist every single one of us. The Chefs are chirpy and happy and the staff are pleasant and know how to treat every guest. I love this place. There is nowhere else I'd rather be !

A rustic lodge on the banks of the Rapti River. Stay in small duplex style cabins across the Rapti River from Chitwan National Park. The rooms are air-conditioned. The beds are fine and the bathrooms have hot water. Wifi is available at the main lodge. The food was fresh and delicious. Staff attentive with good service. They house four Asian Elephants so you can meet them and even participate in bathing them in the river. Good place to stay for a "real" Chitwan experience.

Being able to have the opportunity to meet an asian elephant up close during the briefing was fantastic. We were told all about them and even how they differed from other elephants, getting to feed them what our nature guide called an "elephant sandwich" after. Canoeing along the Rapti river after lunch was just the right activity to settle down. The slow swaying of the boat, warm sun and cool breeze all fit to the calm surroundings of the still water. We were even lucky enough to run into some of the crocodiles that inhabited the area, which dipped in and out of the surface. Waking up early to experience the elephant safari ride is a must do. It really is as simple as strolling through a wild jungle on the back of an elephant, searching for animals hiding in the bushes and trees. Some of the animals we came across included: herds of spotted deer, a wild boar, a kingfisher (which was brilliantly blue), monkeys, a peakock and a rhino with its baby, which we had actually tracked from a clearance of grasslands after seeing its footprints. This was definitely one of my favourite activities of the whole trip. The little jungle walk leading up to the crocodile breeding was exciting. Walking on the jungle floor with monkeys swinging in the trees above us really felt like an adventure. The nature guides were amazing as well, showing us all different kinds of flora and fauna. There was even a log bridge which everyone had fun trying to cross. After this we had a friendly reception before going to see the crocodile breeding centre. It really was fascinating seeing how they grow, and you could tell how old they were by the signs that had their hatching year on them. The ox-cart ride around Tharu village was very eye opening to how the local people live. We were pulled by two bulls and sat in a wooden cart with the driver at the front. Eventhough it was raining during our ride, it didnt stop us from climbing on board with umbrellas and watching the beautiful scenery roll by. The mustard fields were the star of the show for me, the yellow flowers stretching into the distance where the hills provided a natural backdrop. Birdwatching was also one of my favourite activities. We walked slowly through Tharu village with our nature guide leading the way. The most memorable bird we spotted was one he called a blue roller sat on the electricity cables. With another chance to see the village, we also stopped to take pictures with by the hay stacks, huts and farm animals. The jeep safari was the last activity we did. We were again traveling through the jungle but this time sticking to the paths. The river was next to us for some time, and on the other bank lay crocodiles much larger than the ones we saw when we went canoeing. Further down we got the opportunity to climb a wooden watchtower with outstanding views at the top. All food was served buffete style, and you could request tea or coffee at anytime. You eat either in the lobby, which houses a cosy log fire, or out on the veranda looking out over the Rapti river. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very enjoyable, as the staff and cooks are happy to help with any enquiries. Accommodation is simple but has everyhing you need for a good stay: shampoo, soap, towels, mineral water etc. All staff are kind and welcoming, pleased to help and keep company. ~Sourabhi

Overlooking Chitwan national Park.. staff is eager to please food is excellent. You’ll definitely enjoy the calmness and peace you find here. We stayed two nights and slept very well.
