“A home away from home!”
We had a perfect 5 nights stay at Designer Cottage (Heritage building) in August ’24. Chet & Steve were amazing/excellent hosts and the Cottage is a home away from home. “Great Stay”
Chet and Steve had been a very good host. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and cosy. Walking distance to the town area. There are many planted apples, pears, plum trees, lavenders, etc. if I will visit Christchurch again, I will definitely choose to stay at the same place again

“Comfortable and discrete in the big city”
Very good place to stay, nice and quiet with friendly staff. They went out and bought some Weetbix for me, as I could not eat nut based cereals. “DISAPPOINTING”
I'm sorry to say this was our only disappointing accommodation on a 3 week tour. Ok we booked some stunning places at a higher cost but we also did 3 BNB's at an identical price which were far better. “Ok stay.”
Had a 2n stay here about 10 min easy drive to the CBD. Room was a bit dated and cramped but clean. There are rooms in main house but didn't see them.
