The concierge was very kind in giving me an accessible room. My mobility is poor and I use a cane and a walker. Unfortunately there were several areas where I actually had to lift the walker up over a threshold or over some stairs as there weren’t enough ramps. The room had no closet nor hangers nor even a clothes rod to hang up my clothes. The side of the bed with the night table had no switch for turning out the lights, at least not that I could see. I had to get out of bed, get my cane, walk around the foot of the bed and over to the wall on the other side of the bed to get to the switches which were about three feet away from the bed. The shower door would not close tightly and left an about a 3/4 inch crack open where the water flowed out all over the floor. This then made the floor very slippery for getting to the sink, the toilet or the bathroom door. I wax terrified of slipping and falling. I had to leave early in the morning and since breakfast was included, I wanted to take my walker and duffel bag to the breakfast room, but when I got to the door which was marked with a wheelchair, it was locked and despite rattling it, no one came. Instead, there was another sign on it with the perfunctory message “Use other door” followed by an arrow pointing to the outside entrance to the lobby where again I had to lift my walker and luggage down two steps, turn left and lift them back up two steps to go into the breakfast room. There is nothing accessible about this set-up. In fact there has been little or no thought put into making anything accessible apart from naming it so. Both the supper and the breakfast buffet were tasty, but I can’t recommend this establishment to anyone with even the slightest disabilities.

“An average motel”

Not anything special. Its an average motel and was the only available place to book in Fox Glacier. The staff were helpful.

This is not a hotel! Come on guys!! All the rooms are external from carpark with windows you can see straight into, all looking straight at the carpark or in our case the cleaning cupboard. This is not a hotel! Come on guys!! All the rooms are external from carpark with windows you can see straight into, all looking straight at the carpark or in our case the cleaning cupboard. The receptionist’s manner was helpful and breakfast was great. The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom really extremely tiny, room itself had no sink or kitchen… was clean but a very overpriced motel except without motel facilities. Only the reception area and dining room resembled a hotel in any way.

“Nice stay in a beautiful spot”

We had a very nice stay and enjoyed the warm and helpful people working at the hotel. We would have appreciated more heating possibility in the bathroom.
