This hotel was amazing. I had my own little villa all to myself - didn't know what to do with all the space! No air con but the temperature cooled off at night so the rooms weren't too hot and a fan was provided if needed. The grounds were pretty and well-kept. The complex is quite spread out so finding your villa at first can be a challenge but everything is well-signposted. The location of the hotel is right on the lakefront and right at the end of the main street so everything is easy walking distance. Dinner in the restaurant was good, the sticky date pudding was a little dry and a very big portion but apart from that it was fine and they did accommodate our tour group with different dinner times to ensure we all got dinner before or after our glow worm trips so that was much appreciated My only real regret was only having one night here and not actually spending a lot of time in the villa as I was out making the most of the short time we had in Te Anau

Lady on reception was excellent. She explained everything and was so helpful. We were upgraded to a lake view room. Ideally located. Breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choice. Swimming pool had leaves and insects on it so was not very inviting. It didn’t seem very heated either. No lift but… more

Lady on reception was excellent. She explained everything and was so helpful. We were upgraded to a lake view room. Ideally located. Breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choice. Swimming pool had leaves and insects on it so was not very inviting. It didn’t seem very heated either. No lift but they had someone to take bags to room. We didn’t use this facility as there appeared to be a backlog of cases. We used the bar in the evening and the staff were friendly. Overall, I would stay here again.

“Good hotel in a great location”

The hotel is located along Route 94 on the small hill overlooking the magnificent Lake Te Anau. It’s an easy walking distance to the centre of town. There are plenty of parking spaces at the back. The hotel is located along Route 94 on the small hill overlooking the magnificent Lake Te Anau. It’s an easy walking distance to the centre of town. There are plenty of parking spaces at the back. The reception is on the right after crossing the double glass doors. Long corridor leads to the rooms and stairs. There is no lift but porters utilize a special luggage lift that can speedily deliver bags to your room. Our Lake View room was located on the first floor. It was spacious, with ample wardrobe space, plenty of seating and a comfortable double and single bed. There were tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was rather compact though functional, with walk-in shower. WiFi signal was good. Good selection of TV channels. Buffet breakfast had great selection of cereals, breads, cheeses and hot dishes as well as fruit. We dined at the restaurant and the whole experience was excellent despite some teething problems with the booking.

“Great location and a very nice hotel.”

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Try to get a lakeside view room if you can. The rooms are a good size, and well appointed and clean. Food is good and staff are friendly.
