I stayed at this hotel 12 years ago, in a petite room. Always said if I came back would stay again but get a lake view. This time I did. Reception team for checking in and checking out were very friendly. Hotel has a nice vibe and location is great as it’s close to the lake and Main Street. Cleanliness of the room and facilities were good. Just a couple of minor things to consider specially for the price tag, the bed was so uncomfortably hard, and had trouble sleeping. TV is a little outdated. While I appreciate the heated towel rack and heated tiles I found the water hot water would cut in and out when having a shower. It was really cold when I visited but when paying decent money for accommodation it isn’t ideal. Hotel and rooms look exactly like it did 12 years ago, not necessarily a bad thing as I like the colour scheme. However with the view and location I would recommend if you don’t mind a very hard bed.

“Good location, terrible service”

The location of the hotel was nice. We booked a two bedroom lake view. The service however was not at all up to par. The location of the hotel was nice. We booked a two bedroom lake view. The service however was not at all up to par. When we arrived, we saw at least 20 staff members walking around in front of and inside reception. But, only one guy was manning the front desk with a line of people. We had to wait at least 15-20 minutes to get helped. When we go to front, our room was not ready (okay no worries) and I asked the gentleman to make sure that for one of the rooms, the king bed was separated into 2 beds as my 2 children each like their own bed. He said he would let housekeeping know. When we go to room, it hadn’t been done. When I noticed a sleeper sofa in the living room, I told the gentleman who checked us in that instead could they simply pull out and makeup the sleeper sofa. He said okay. When we left to go to town, nobody had done it yet, so my husband went back to reception. He spoke to another person who asked him if we had booked the sleeper sofa- which made zero sense to us since we booked the entire space. After going back and forth, we were able to get bed linens and we had to make up bed on our own. Every time we needed something from the reception; we faced similar obstacles. Oftentimes nobody was manning the desk, despite hearing numerous voices in the back laughing and talking and when they did appear, they only created additional layers for us to jump through to get what we need. Also, 2 bedroom apartment isn’t exactly that. It’s one room with bedroom downstairs, living area upstairs (one key went to that) and an entire separate small room (its own key) in front. It’s okay. But, I think this should be explained better before you book; especially if traveling with children. I also agree that place was not stocked properly. I could not find a napkin at all in the kitchen and not even an option to buy bottled water.

“Fair rooms but have stayed in way better for cheaper”

Fair rooms, but are very small & the living space was overly large. Stairs to climb with bags, was in a great location. Rooms were missing basic items like milk, ice trays, toiletry packets etc.

Group booking, so no choice in room selection. Our room was the tiniest room ever, petite, 14sqm, awful, though bathroom ok. Bed good size. No room for suitcases. Broken window shutter, dirty and dusty, stained sheets, no electric blanket on one side of the bed and the electric blanket on the other side didn't work. Heat pump very noisy and jammed on aircon. Not good in the middle of winter. Management came promptly and had fixed and replaced what they could. Parking some distance from the room. Meals were in the function room, food ok but like many buffets not hot enough. They do have bigger rooms with views and I'm sure the food in the restaurant will be much hotter, but not somewhere I'd recommend for groups. Staff very helpful.
