“A comfortable family stay”
We stayed for one night. Our room was clean, tidy and well appointed. Roger one of the owners was happy to provide recommendations for local places to grab dinner which was appreciated. Laundry on site. Parking right out the front of your room.

After a long drive from Haast the Alpine Rose Motel was just the job. Super friendly member of staff at check in and thereafter shown to our room. “Extremely helpful and friendly owners and a lovely room”
A lovely room. Very comfy. All the facilities and conveniences we would wish for and plenty of space. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice bathroom. “Fantastic motel”
Best motel yet! Wonderful owners who picked us up and dropped us off at the station and who were always there if we needed anything - they even gave us fresh milk on arrival. “Convenient location”
Motel is pretty old but it's quite clean. convenient as New world supermarket is just a 5 to 10 mins walk. To do a load of laundry is $10/-. just the washing. I was quite surprised as the price list on the laundry room listed it as $5/- but owner said it's $10/-
