Comfortable Stay in Ikeja GRA with Excellent Facilities I stayed at Amber Residences, Ikeja after a nearby hotel was unable to locate my reservation. In the end, it turned out to be a fortunate change. Amber Residences offers a mix of serviced apartments, hotel rooms and suites. I booked the Honeymoon Suite (not on a honeymoon though) , which is not really a suite in the traditional sense, but rather a very spacious room with a queen-sized bed, plenty of space and a large bathroom featuring both a luxurious bathtub and separate shower. Before my stay, I had read a few reviews mentioning unpleasant smells from the water supply. Fortunately, I experienced nothing of the sort. The water was clear and clean throughout my stay, and hot water was available almost instantly — a pleasant surprise compared with some other hotels I have stayed in across Nigeria. One downside is the absence of a lift. If you have heavy luggage, the flights of stairs can be challenging. However, staff members were always available and willing to assist with bags. The check-in process was a little slow, although the hotel appeared quite busy, which is usually a positive sign. The location is excellent, situated close to major hotels such as the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja, Legend Hotel Lagos Airport, Curio Collection by Hilton and Shoregate Hotels. The dining area felt somewhat dark, but breakfast offered a good variety of options and there was plenty to choose from. I was also pleased with the reliability of the electricity supply and the air conditioning, both of which worked perfectly throughout my stay. Booking was straightforward. I made my reservation via WhatsApp and paid by bank transfer, which was acknowledged promptly. Room rates are generally moderate compared with other hotels in the Ikeja GRA area, although prices can fluctuate significantly, so it is worth booking early. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would happily return. Comfortable rooms, reliable amenities, helpful staff and a convenient location make Amber Residences a solid choice for anyone visiting Ikeja. Rating: 4/5 stars. The hotel would have earned 5 stars from me if it had a lift and a slightly faster check-in process.

“Very Basic Hotel”

I stayed here for 4 days on a work trip. The hotel is dated and the carpets look extremely filthy. Plus there ain’t an elevator. My room was a suite. It smelt damp. I stayed here for 4 days on a work trip. The hotel is dated and the carpets look extremely filthy. Plus there ain’t an elevator. My room was a suite. It smelt damp. There was an awful smell from the bathroom. My floor was noisy. Breakfast was below standard and buffet was unremarkable. The only positive this about this hotel is the staff. They are full of energy, polite and professional. The hotel is 15 minutes from the Ikeja airport.

“Amber, not exceptionally Amber ”

The rooms are big, but not dope. The bath is still old century - bath tub, without a standing shower. The breakfast is average, and the new policy of charging guests to bring their food ordered to their rooms reeks of extortion. Very friendly staff.
