Unfortunately I am a little late on this review. I picked this hotel out of the blue & was surprised by how nice it was & it’s great staff. I stayed in a second story villa overlooking the ocean & beautiful sunsets. Every employee I came across was extremely pleasant & helpful. While I never saw another American that I knew of (& across the island) English was well spoken & understood. The food was excellent except for the Luau which was a little cold, yet the event was amazing. Staff was eager to help with any questions about the resort or traveling outside of the property. The two pools are very nice especially the big pool being 10-12 feet deep. It is the deepest pool I have been in a hotel. It was great getting my ears & lungs ready for all the SCUBA & free diving I would be doing. Everything was exceptionally clean & the property was well maintained & manicured. The location is a little far from downtown yet well worth it as you can walk either way on the beach for miles & never see another person, which I never did. The staff knew I was interested in the sea life & notified me when a group of Rays were swimming along the beach. I did not bring my computer with me on this trip & my phone shorted out. I did not have time to order another phone from the US & the staff was kind enough to help me with everything I needed to get back alright including checking on the status of my flight home & making sure my transportation was taken care of. I normally stay @ different hotels when I return somewhere fairly new yet I will stay at this beautiful location again.

My family Decided to stay for my son’s birthday! We rented two rooms one was at the second floor it was relaxing view specially while watching the sunset! But ofcourse the first floor I think was better because from my door few steps away and I’m at the beach already! Just whichever room actually was great ! I love it the bar was in the middle of the swimming pool you can eat and drink while swimming! They have good drinks cocktails and good food too! I’ll definitely be back again next time with my family!

“A beautiful yet slightly dated hotel, with wonderful staff, but a complicated rate-plan.”

Upon arrival we had some hickups with our room. The aircon was defect, and we had to contact reception, who then had to call a technician. The system had to be re-set from the reception, causing us to be quite geared up and unable to sleep. The whole process took more than an hour, and we arrived just before midnight. You’d expect the hotel to check the rooms before the guests arrive, especially with the hotel being almost empty, and the price of the rooms being the same as five-star hotels in Tokyo. The next day we were moved to another room – with beautiful views of the ocean. A wonderful Reception Manager from Tokyo did everything she could in order to make amends for our first impression of the hotel, and we got a room-upgrade. Important to know that they have several different categories for their rooms, that are not the same as listed on hotels.com. Some of the rooms include breakfast and Vino Lounge (their Executive Lounge) from 3pm-6pm, others only have access to the Vino Lounge. The breakfast (since we discovered this was not included) was very nice, indeed, but very pricey – USD 60 for two people. This is the first time we’ve experienced having access to an Executive Lounge, but not having breakfast included. In other words it's a little complicated in regards to other hotel policies. Nb! Check the hotel website as well as hotels.com, but beware that the category of room is not the same on hotels.com as on the hotel’s website. With this said, the hotel is beautiful, with a very nice ocean view. Especially from Section 6. From the other side of the hotel you look straight on to a huge Vegas-type Neon-sign that covers the otherwise beautiful view to the ocean. The Executive Lounge; called Vino Lounge was absolutely fantastic with Marco giving us the most exquisite service. He is such a lovely guy – very warm and friendly! And then there is the wonderful chef, Johnny, making the best sliders (small hamburgers) we have ever tasted! We actually ended up eating nine sliders each!! Thankfully we were only staying for 3 nights (one of them too late to enjoy the lounge), as this was a little embarrassing. Saipan is an extremely beautiful island, with interesting, but terrible WW2 history. It is a nice place to visit – for intellectual input – as well as the beautiful scenery. Be sure to take a trip to the North to see Banzai Cliff and Suicide Cliff. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the city center of Garapan. We heard that most tourists like to live in Garapan, but going there was a shock. The American Memorial Park museum was a must-see, but the town itself felt like a ghost-town, or being in a post-apocalyptic film. Everything in Garapan seemed closed, except for the Crown Plaza Hotel. Most shops and restaurants were closed and it just looked deserted. The massive casino, guilded and beautiful is overgrown with plants, limousines left outside with stolen tires. Of all the places we saw, we definitely believe we stayed in the most beautiful area, with the friendliest staff and the most beautiful facilities. So this hotel is a great recommendation if you want “island life”.

Nice view from the swimming pool. The bar is nice. Good food and rooms maybe a little old but still nice view. Lots of bugs but they said because we live in an island so it is normal. Staff are okay. Some are nice some looked like not very friendly. We stayed here as a group so it was okay for firs… more

I think this place is better for couples especially when they want to be far and private from the city.
