Quite unassuming lobby considering the size of the hotel. Compensated by helpful staff at the front desk.Superior rooms in the newer part of the hotel maintain the classic Radisson style. Comfortable bed and comfortable bed linen provide good sleeping comfort.Not a big fan of Radisson's soap and shampoo range which is an unfortunately anonymous supplier.Excellent breakfast where everyone will probably find a favorite.Otherwise, the "hotel" restaurant in the form of a pizzeria may not be what you dream of when you're hoping for seafood and other local specialties.If you come by car, it is the same concern as all other hotels in Tromsø, which are almost car-unfriendly.

I stayed at Radisson Blu Hotel Tromsø. The location is good—close to the city center and within a reasonable walking distance to Arctic Cathedral. It’s also very close to the airport, around a 10-minute drive, which is convenient. The breakfast was really good and tasty—I actually enjoyed it a lot.… more

I stayed at Radisson Blu Hotel Tromsø. The location is good—close to the city center and within a reasonable walking distance to Arctic Cathedral. It’s also very close to the airport, around a 10-minute drive, which is convenient. The breakfast was really good and tasty—I actually enjoyed it a lot. The lobby is also a strong point: it’s big, has plenty of comfortable seating, and is always well heated, which is important in Tromsø since you really feel the cold outside. One strange thing is the luggage storage—it’s far from reception, on another floor in what seemed like a conference room, which is not very practical. Now, the issues. We booked a superior room because we were three people, but when we arrived, there was only one queen-size bed and no extra bed for the third person. When we called reception, they seemed confused about why we were asking for it… which honestly makes no sense. Where exactly were three people supposed to sleep? That attitude was frustrating and not professional. Also, our travel partners booked a standard twin room, and it was extremely small—like a box. You can barely move, the closet is under the bed, and you can practically touch both walls at the same time. Definitely not what you expect, especially considering the price. Speaking of price, the hotel is expensive—but to be fair, Tromsø in general is expensive. Cleanliness was also an issue. When we arrived, there were crumbs or cookies on the floor, and clearly no one had cleaned it properly beforehand. The staff overall were not very cooperative, which really affects the experience. Overall, while the location and breakfast were good, the service, room issues, and cleanliness made the stay disappointing. With the amount of money I paid, I expected better which is literally the bare minimum.
