“Amazing”

Excellent experience, great location across from the main square of Aguascalientes, the breakfast was top-notch, and Guille welcomed us from the very first moment in the best way and made us feel right at home!

I stayed at Gringo Bill's in 1987 when Bill was still around. It was a dumpy backpacker's hostel, but it was cheap ($5/night) so everyone stayed there. Bill was an old hippie who was on a walkabout in the 60's or 70s, came to the Andes and liked it. Aguas Calientes was a dumpy, undeveloped little town on the way to MP. Now I hear Gringo Bill's has "amenities." Blow dryers. Indoor plumbing!! All you 3-star people should stop complaining. Looks like the whole town has been developed.

“Great location- unique hotel”

Every room is different and unique. We were on the sixth floor which required walking up a maze of different steps. Every room is different and unique. We were on the sixth floor which required walking up a maze of different steps. Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with a great view from our private balcony. Those steps became somewhat of an issue AFTER our hike up to Machu Picchu. That was on us though, not Gringo Bill. The room was small and well lit. While other members of our group said hot water and pressure was an issue, we had an abundance of both. They staff provide bottled water daily. Our room was a lovely place to rest during the periodic rain showers of the rainy season. The breakfast is simple and tasty. The ladies that work there will prepare eggs just the way you like them. The lobby has a cooler with reasonably priced drinks available on the honor system. We enjoyed the lobby for card games to the pet the occasional dog that came by to visit.

“Good location and great room + breakfast”

Great breakfast with the best ‘omelet completo’. We friendly and smiling staff making and serving breakfast. Our King room (405) was amazing… very large, clean, beautiful and with a balcony with a table, chairs and a great view. Great location at the central square close to the train station, ticke… more

Great breakfast with the best ‘omelet completo’. We friendly and smiling staff making and serving breakfast. Our King room (405) was amazing… very large, clean, beautiful and with a balcony with a table, chairs and a great view. Great location at the central square close to the train station, ticket office and restaurants. The shower faucet over the bathtub gave water all over the bathroom. No water in the pool or jacuzzi.
