“Nice hotel”

hotel pachakuteq Aguas Calientes peru: Relatively good; busy & noisy until 22.00 at night, but then quiet afterwards. Clean room. Lukewarm shower. Reception spoke some English. Relatively good breakfast.

“Perfectly Adequate”

We stayed a night here with our G Adventures group. Good location close to the hot springs. Rooms and beds were fine, although the bathroom in our twin room was very small. We stayed a night here with our G Adventures group. Good location close to the hot springs. Rooms and beds were fine, although the bathroom in our twin room was very small. Decor was a little odd, but a nice enough place for a 2 star hotel. Note the hotel name is actually spelt Hotel Pachakutec, rather than Pachacuteq.

“Quiet but no windows”

Stayed here one night only as part of a G Adventures tour so no other choice. The room I had was on the first floor but you’ll still need to go through two flights of stairs without an elevator (not a problem for me luckily). Stayed here one night only as part of a G Adventures tour so no other choice. The room I had was on the first floor but you’ll still need to go through two flights of stairs without an elevator (not a problem for me luckily). The room was very tiny and had a window which faced the staircase so no real window. It felt quite dark and claustrophobic to be honest. The bathroom and shower were working fine for me although a few people on my tour had issues with water (shower had no water) and some had to move room. The bathroom gets really steamy after a shower making it hard to breathe inside the room. I had no window that I could open so i was forced to open the door instead to let some air in. Both the bed and toilet are quite “high” as well. The plus side is: it was quiet at night after the cleaning ladies left after I opened the door and showed my presence in the hallway since they were being quite loud. But no noise issues during the night.

This hotel was a long walk uphill from the train station (it was likely made more so after 3 days of hiking and a late night arrival). This hotel was a long walk uphill from the train station (it was likely made more so after 3 days of hiking and a late night arrival). That being said, check in was quick and easy, the rooms were clean and quiet, and there was good luggage storage. Showers were large and so was bathroom. We had a room with two beds with a divider between them - interesting arrangement and made for a peaceful somewhat private rest. For the price, a decent stay.
