Tambo del Inka was not merely an exceptional hotel stay—it was one of the most extraordinary travel experiences of my life and quite possibly the finest hotel-and-destination experience I have ever had. The resort possesses a mystical quality that is difficult to express in words. Located in the heart of Peru’s Sacred Valley, surrounded by the Andes and beside the flowing Urubamba River, it seems to become part of the valley itself. Its architecture, natural materials, interior design, gardens, and cultural details blend so beautifully with the history and spirituality of the surroundings that the hotel never feels separate from its destination. There is a profound sense of peace throughout the property. Walking through its magnificent interiors and gardens, listening to the river, and contemplating the mountains created a feeling unlike anything I have experienced at another hotel. Tambo del Inka is not simply a place to stay while visiting the Sacred Valley—it is a destination in its own right and an essential part of experiencing the valley’s beauty and mysticism. Every aspect of my stay was exceptional. The accommodations and facilities were impeccable, the surroundings were breathtaking, and the culinary experience was truly outstanding. Every meal was prepared and presented at the highest level. The quality of the ingredients, flavors, presentation, and attentive service made dining at the resort a memorable experience of its own. As extraordinary as the property is, its people made the experience even more special. I would particularly like to recognize Janet Barrientos, Leslie, and Ramiro. From the moment I arrived, they welcomed me with genuine warmth and took exceptional care of me. They helped me become familiar with the resort and consistently demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and sincere hospitality. Their kindness made me feel personally welcomed and contributed enormously to an already unforgettable experience. Every member of the staff with whom I interacted reflected the same dedication to excellence. The service never felt mechanical or impersonal; it felt genuine, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the warmth of Peruvian hospitality. My only regret is that my stay was too short. I left wishing I had reserved more time simply to remain at the resort, enjoy its peaceful atmosphere, and absorb the extraordinary beauty of the Sacred Valley. Tambo del Inka is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. It is more than a luxury resort—it is a magical and deeply memorable destination that brings together nature, history, culture, spirituality, exceptional cuisine, and truly remarkable hospitality. I recommend it without hesitation and look forward to the day when I can return.

This is a large hotel with beautiful grounds. 5 star service, you could stay here and organise all you Sacred Valley excursions, fantastic concierge team. Train goes straight from the hotel to Machu Picchu! There is so much on offer plus a boulevard with coffee shop, beer garden and shopping. The hotels vegetable garden is impressive and the hotel hardly needs to buy vegetables from anywhere else. We experienced the star gazing tour and it was mesmerising, honestly, I will never look at the sky with the same eyes again. Deeply touching learning about the history of Andean culture, spiritualism and star constellations. And have I mentioned the pool? Stunning!

Tambo del Inka was an absolutely stunning hotel and the perfect place to spend our first few days acclimatising to the high altitude. We genuinely could not have chosen a better place to begin our Peru adventure. The grounds are spectacular, with breathtaking 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Everywhere you look is postcard worthy, and the peaceful setting makes it easy to relax and unwind. The pool was beautiful, and the spa massage was one of the best I have ever had. It was the perfect way to recover after a long journey. The food was exceptional throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, dinner was outstanding, and even the 24 hour room service was absolutely delicious. Every meal exceeded our expectations. We also appreciated having complimentary muña and coca tea available throughout the hotel, which was a thoughtful touch and especially helpful while acclimatising to the altitude. What truly made this hotel special, however, was the incredible staff. Every single person we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel so well cared for. Thank you to everyone at Tambo del Inka for providing such a beautiful sanctuary where we could comfortably adjust to the altitude before continuing our journey through Peru. It was an unforgettable stay, and we would return without hesitation.

“Hotel with amenities but disorganised check in check out service and no information given on any activities advertised”

A luxury hotel with amenities like a heated pool, gym , pool table but disorganised check in and out service. Checking in took more than half an hour and gave us 5 forms to fill including 3 young children whom we kept saying we will fill the forms for them. The hotel grounds are big and no orientat… more

A luxury hotel with amenities like a heated pool, gym , pool table but disorganised check in and out service. Checking in took more than half an hour and gave us 5 forms to fill including 3 young children whom we kept saying we will fill the forms for them. The hotel grounds are big and no orientation givem or a map of where things are . We stayed 2 nights and on the day we left we realised that there were supposedly other activities organised liked weaving demo, beer craft, etc which was heavily advertised in the website ..none of which was told to us on any day. At check out we waited 15minutes for the bags to be brought down..but no one came and our transfers were waiting. Check out was a hassle as in check in , we were told we could use the Amex platinum fine hotels resort per room credit 100 each but on check out we were told despite booking 2 rooms we could only use one credit of 100usd. All in all a disorganised and inconsistent management. Individual staff were all helpful when asked. Breakfast good.
