We stayed for two nights at Loboc River Lodge and had a fantastic experience. The warm welcome with fresh towels and iced tea immediately made us feel at home. Our room (number 6) was in the new part of the lodge and came with a huge terrace overlooking the river. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, with coffee and tea facilities and water provided in refillable bottles. All amenities—shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes—were thoughtfully provided. We happened to be there during a Level 1 typhoon, so all water activities were prohibited on our first day. Luckily, we had a car and took the opportunity to explore Bohol by land, which we wanted to do anyway. The staff remained extremely friendly and helpful, as we experienced consistently throughout our trip in the Philippines. On our first morning, the lower parts of the lodge were flooded due to the storm, but the rooms are set slightly higher and connected by wooden pathways, so it didn’t affect our stay at all. Everything continued smoothly. The onsite restaurant served very tasty and super affordable food. The water sports activities could be a bit better attended, but this was a minor detail in an otherwise excellent stay and probably due to the weather. We also enjoyed two wonderful massages during our visit—highly recommended, one outside on the island, di relaxing. Overall, Loboc River Lodge is a charming, peaceful place with great service, delicious food, and comfortable rooms. We’d happily stay again.

“Great stay at the river”

Something different on the riverside! Very nice staff who remembered our names every day! they arranged the tours and our early leave to Cebu very well! Room are clean and nicely decorated with lots of bamboo. And great view of the river. Restaurant is oké to eat. And everything that is worth see… more

“You cannot go wrong staying here, best overall experience through our trip of Bohol for over a week now.”

One of the best places we have stayed at, the premium room is one of the best and most spacious by far, lovely large bathroom and amazing bath tub outside on the deck. One of the best places we have stayed at, the premium room is one of the best and most spacious by far, lovely large bathroom and amazing bath tub outside on the deck. The food was top notch and we had several main courses while we stayed, great breakfasts and good coffee and a wonderful staff that greeted us with a big smile everytime. I highly recommend staying here and do get the better room if you can.

Like all accommodation of this type, Loboc River Lodge is a little rustic and rough around the edges but, having said that, our room was beautiful and finished to a higher standard than I expected and we really enjoyed our two night stay. Like so many places in The Philippines, the staff are incredibly friendly and will do anything they can to help. The grounds are Gavin sting, with trails to explore, a huge lily pond surrounding a picturesque island that you can reach by bridge and of course the river is beautiful to look out on. There are daily ‘tours’ of the property, where you can also see the local troupe o monkeys being fed! In terms of catering, the restaurant is perhaps trying too hard to please all!! The menu is vast and, as a result, I felt that the quality wasn’t as good as if they narrowed the choice down slightly. Breakfast is a buffet and is very tasty. The pool area is plenty big enough and there were enough loungers if you want a little time in the sun. It poured both afternoons that we were there but your in the tropical jungle - what do you expect?!!
