We booked a discounted stay at this resort through Agoda. We could cancel for free up until the day before, so even though we saw some bad reviews online, we decided to go for it and check it out for ourselves. We wanted to see if it could be a good place for us to relax in the future. Here are some of the good things about the resort: 1. This place is massive and there were many activities to do. For example, we trekked a 4-kilometer forest trail, and even when we had it at noon, it was comfortablr enough since the whole forest is covered by huge trees and it's always cool in there. They also got archery for only 120 pesos (30 arrows), rock climbing, tree-top adventure, and ATV riding. However, some of their other activities are closed right now for renovation (like the zipline). 2. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and accomodation throughout our stay. Our trekking guide, Teng, exuded a genuine appreciation for nature, which was evident in his concern for the potential removal of trees marked on the trail. Another staff member, Joel, consistently displayed warmth and willingness to assist us with transportation to our hotel. I also had the pleasure of engaging in a friendly conversation about cicadas with the lady security guard (whose name I regrettably failed to obtain) at our hotel. Lastly, the restaurant team leader, Sir Dennis, exemplified exceptional leadership qualities by patiently addressing our inquiries and even kindly providing me with a complimentary serving of aglio oglio, considering the limited vegan options available during the breakfast buffet. 3. Our hotel room was very spacious. The airconditioning was very cool and the shower heats up well. It also has a mini refrigerator and electric kettle. For improvement: 1. The resort advertises having three restaurants, but only one was open during our visit, as the other two were undergoing renovations. Although the open restaurant was said to offer Italian and American cuisine, many items were unavailable, leaving us with limited options for lunch upon our arrival. Additionally, there is a corkage fee if a guest orders food online and has it delivered to the resort. We attempted to order vegan dinner from Sentro Botanikos and waited until the delivery and the following day for an announcement regarding a potential charge for the outside food, but we were not asked to pay anything. While we are grateful for this, we hope that improvements can be made to the food options. The breakfast was satisfactory, but for vegans, the only choices are fruits, salad, and black coffee. Since we had complimentary breakfast for two, I inquired if my child could have my free breakfast while I ordered the aglio olio. Fortunately, they permitted this and even provided the pasta free of charge. 2. We were a bit confused about the Agoda booking. We had specifically mentioned that we would be traveling with our 8-year-old daughter, and we assumed that she would also be entitled to a complimentary breakfast. However, upon checking in, we were informed that since she is considered a "free" guest (we were only charged for the two adults), she would not be provided with a complimentary breakfast, towel, or dental kit. 3. Extra towels and dental kit are not free. Since my child does not have her own towel and dental kit, I politely spoke with the concierge and inquired if they could kindly waive the charge for the extra toiletries, as this condition was not mentioned anywhere in the confirmed Agoda booking. They graciously provided us with a complimentary dental kit, and we were promised an update regarding the towel. However, despite our patient waiting, we did not receive any further information. And athough one maintenance personnel willingly offered to give us 1 free towel, we weren't able to find her after settling in the room, so my child and I had to share towels during our stay. 4. Despite some indications of the hotel's age, my appreciation for the harmonious blend of nature and rustic elements outweighed any concerns. We noticed potential plans for expansion into the forest, as evidenced by land measurements and marked trees. However, I sincerely hope that the resort's development will prioritize the preservation of the existing forest and utilize available open spaces, rather than resorting to deforestation. I also sincerely hope that they will instead focus their attention on improving the cabins than create a new building. Will we return? Yes. This place now is on our list of options to visit when we need to unwind. When there is a call to commune with forest trees, this will be our go-to place. We really anticipate revisiting the serene forest and taking advantage of the enhanced amenities.

“Nice place”

Went here on a school trip, nice place. Sadly wave pool was under construction when we went. Hotel > cabin in every aspect. Many activities to do. Bring bug spray and NOT WHITE shoes. Bring black shoes especially if you will go foret trekking.
