Manila Airport Hotel was my choice, on three occasions, during a recent visit to the Philippines. On all three occasions, I found the desk staff courteous and efficient, the room attendant gracious and thorough, in outfitting and cleaning my room. The view from the two rooms varied-the first night, my room faced the southwest, looking out over a nearby barangay (neighbourhood) of Paranaque District. The other three nights, my room looked out on a nearby wellness resort. There is a full-service massage, barber shop and wellness room, in the lobby of the hotel, as well as two car rental agencies and a small restaurant-coffee shop.

I'm repeating here the review I wrote for the Manila Airport Hotel - which is the same place with a slightly different name! It's a pretty basic hotel but fine for an overnight stay and very convenient for terminal 1. All the ( mainly female) staff were very friendly and keen to help, even insisting on handling our heavy luggage. Our room was large but basic and sparsely furnished, a bed, one chair, one bedside cabinet and a TV on the wall. There is no fridge and no coffee-making facilities, but the aircon worked well. We got 2 towels for two of us, a bar of soap and a sachet of shampoo/shower gel, and 2 bottles of water. The bed and pillows were comfy; all we needed. There is a small cafe onsite open 5am to 10pm where we bought nice freshly cooked omelettes with rice for breakfast ( good value at 150php) , and there's a good selection of hot and cold drinks. If you want anything more, there's a KFC next door. About the shuttle: the hotel will provide a shuttle service from/to the airport if you want it, but they don't push it, because a Grab is cheaper. The hotel currently charges 300php per ride ( not per person) to terminal 1 or 600php per ride to terminal 3. ( if you think about it, to provide the shuttle someone needs to be on standby all the time, and you are paying for their time to take you and come back.) Terminal 1 is in easy walking distance if you have light luggage or a rolling case ( we didn't ). We paid 245php for a 6 seater Grab from the hotel to terminal 3 - which the hotel staff actually ordered for us. (We do recommend you use Grab and not the local "metered" taxi - we took a metered taxi from the regulated taxi rank at the airport and he refused to switch on the meter and tried to charge us 600php for the equivalent of under 200php Grab journey.) We have no complaints about this hotel - while basic it was convenient and all we needed, and the staff were great. We would use it again.

“Clean room close to terminal 1”

Located only 500 metres or so from terminal 1, very basic, but if you are just after somewhere to sleep before next flight then it’s ok. Just don’t expect anything fancy or high level of service it’s no frills. Certainly wouldn’t stay here for more than 1 night.
