“Very good oasis near the airport in Manila”

I stayed at this hotel for a week. It is next to the airport and part of a modern development of resorts, restaurants, and a mall. The Marriott is very comfortable and the staff is high quality. It has a good gym and very good Executive Lounge that has breakfast and evening snacks (enough for dinner really). If you are Platinum, you can be in the West Tower which has its own lobby making it easier to check in and check out. There were a few things I would like to communicate. One has nothing really to do with the hotel itself but one can have the impression that the bridge from Terminal 3 will get you to the door of the hotel but in fact you come out on the street and still have to walk around the Grand Ballroom to get there. This can be annoying when you are hot and sweaty. Recommend just taking a Grab directly. The second was in the lounge one day when one family had young kids running around and the staff did nothing to manage it. I am not sure why young kids are in the lounge (seem like it would not work with the 1 guest policy), it is rude to other member but the staff needs to enforce. These are minor things though and over all, I am looking forward to staying here on my next trip (note, I got a chance to see the Sheraton down the street and this is infinitely better).

Very nice hotel conveniently located close to the airport. Friendly staff along with several nice restaurants and 2 pools/gyms. There is a nice sitting area off the lobby, however it is directly beside a smoking section which makes relaxing there unpleasant. The walkway from the mall also has the same issue as smoke drifts in from the casino and blankets the space. The room TV's should be upgraded to Smart. Those 2 things should be addressed. Outside of that, a fine property

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights with my wife and our 9-month-old baby. We celebrated my wife's birthday during the labor day long weekend. Location • Direct access to Newport Mall with many restaurants nearby • Very convenient especially when traveling with a baby since everything is easily accessible indoors Hotel Grounds and Facilities • Big hotel with complete facilities, though there were a lot of guests during our stay so it didn’t feel very private; would have preferred a less crowded environment since we were traveling with a baby • Pool area is okay with a nice view of the surrounding buildings; Not too crowded, but it can get quite hot as it is located on the roof deck plus there’s very little shade from trees and nearby structures. It would be better if they placed more cover/shade, even fake trees would help. • Gym is also available. Nice view of the golf course. • We booked a room with an Executive Lounge access. This is the highlight of our stay— they offer food and drinks throughout the day. Tried the breakfast, all-day snacks, morning snacks, and dinner selections. Food selection were limited but pretty decent though nothing exceptional. Comfortable seats and nice view of the golf course. Room • Room was spacious enough and comfortable. • Requested a baby cot and we were able to use it throughout the stay. • Also requested extra comforters to create a DIY play area/playpen setup on the floor for our baby. Comforters were thinner compared to those from other hotels. We asked for 3 comforters and stacked it but it still feel hard on the floor. • They also don’t provide door stoppers, which became a bit inconvenient since we brought a stroller. The staff just manually placed a stopper on the door when they cleaned the room. • Hair dryer setup was also slightly inconvenient since you need to continuously press and hold the button while using it. • All the basic equipment are available in the room, though we did not use the coffee machine and TV. • Aircon and wifi worked well. • Bathroom was spacious. Separate toilet, shower, and bath tub. Food and Restaurants • Breakfast buffet was decent but had a limited viand selection compared to other hotels. • Executive Lounge snacks and dinner somehow helped offset the limited breakfast variety. They also serve wine, beer, and hard liquor during dinner. • They served taho with different flavors such as ube and strawberry during breakfast — definitely a highlight and something we enjoyed. • Their omelette and crepe were good. Service • All the staff at the Executive Lounge were friendly and accommodating. • Though when we first asked for a high chair, it still had crumbs on it, so we had to ask for it to be cleaned first. • Check-in time was 3PM so it is a bit late compared to other hotels. We were given access to the Executive Lounge while waiting for our room. • They set-up a birthday greeting with free cake. We appreciate this nice gesture. • Our room was located in West Wing. It has a separate check-in/check-out area but the check-out was a bit slow. Only 1 staff was available during the peak of the check-out time. • We requested for a bucket of ice when they cleaned the room. When we got back, we were given generous amount of ice but it did not include any scooper/tong. Overall, still a pleasant and comfortable stay. Convenient location, friendly staff, and the Executive Lounge were the main highlights. While the experience was enjoyable overall, it didn’t feel like a 5-star experience due to a few small details in the in-room and check-in/check out service that seemed overlooked. We will consider staying here in the future only because of the Executive Lounge service.
