We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Scandi Divers in Puerto Galera, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The entire hotel team is attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. Every request was handled quickly and with a warm smile, making us feel truly valued throughout our stay. The staff, both at the reception and the dive center, are simply exceptional. Friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they create a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. You can clearly feel the teamwork and positive energy. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels comfortable and safe. The dive club is superbly organized and highly professional. The dive guides are experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about marine life. Briefings are clear and thorough, equipment is well maintained, and safety is always a top priority. Every dive felt smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable. The food deserves special mention…….fresh, delicious, and varied. Whether it was breakfast before diving or dinner after a full day at sea, every meal was satisfying and beautifully prepared. The beachfront setting makes dining even more enjoyable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and perfectly located just steps from the boats. Waking up to the ocean view and being able to walk directly to the dive center is a dream for any diver. Scandi Divers offers the perfect combination of excellent service, wonderful food, an outstanding dive club, and an amazing team. It is truly a special place, and I am already looking forward to coming back! 🌊🤿

There are many reasons why Scandi has won Scuba Diver Magazine Readers Choice “Best Dive operator” award in xx and Pacific Ocean region, but for me its due to the great staff. I believe the secret sauce is the owner treating his staff very well. I have been going there for 10 years, and the same great team is still there, along with some new faces that are focused on underwater photography to help guests capture the fantastic diversity of the surrounding reef. Comfortable rooms with great housekeeping, quality food options with Terrace and Skyview seating options, reasonable and well stocked bar, Starbuck’s coffee. Set in Big LaLaguna away from the noise and hustle of Sabang the resort features a beach and a house reef that makes it easy for new divers to get certification. Four boats, including 2 traditional “Bancas” and 2 speedboats allow the team to service the over 50 sites that are within a 10-minute radius. There is a bucket list dive expedition to Verde Island, to a site known as “The Pinnacle” that is about an hour away, and served with a giant Banca called “Queen Maria” but staffed by the Scandi Team. It is not always available due to current and weather conditions, but if you are advanced level and there when its available, you wont regret it. Reasonably priced, includes (usually) 3 dives, a very deluxe lunch on the Island itself, a comfortable boat with the great Scandi staff makes for a dive day you will count as one of your top experiences in the underwater world. The staff includes the aptly named “Angel” who oversees all aspects with great style and competency, Rex managing the dive operation that includes instructors, dive masters, boat captains, and underwater photography experts. My special call out is “the master” Rey, whose keen eye and encouraging nature makes you a better diver after time with him. Behind the scenes (but highly visible to me) is Arman, who takes care of equipment and personal gear. There are also many spots and remote beaches to visit by boat, and my favorite speed boat captain is Mark (I call him Pacino as he looks like a young version) who has a great sunset trip into Puerto Galera bay, Hearts Beach, and some snorkel sites if you like to get wet. Ask Rex or Mark for the Crazy Dave tour, its worth the small extra charge, and don’t forget to tip. Now with the Campbells wing renovations finished, there are plenty of great rooms with fantastic views, so plenty of capacity for your group but still small enough to get personalized service. The spa / massage is reasonably priced and super convenient. They keep upping their game on food service, making it easy to mostly stay within the properties services so you don’t have to wander off to find what you need. If there is something they don’t have, someone will go get it for you! All love and respect to a great group with genuine hospitality!
