4 nights here alone. Perfect cozy room. Perfect location on the edge of old town. Felt very safe. A nice clean modern hotel. Did not enjoy the breakfast, and neither did many others it seemed (lots of complaints going on - apparently there was a new server on, but being alone, I was forgotten about, never got offered coffee, and the food was just ok…). But the hotel itself was perfect for my stay. Loved it.

“A Fantastic Stay with Thoughtful Staff”

We stayed at Hotel Garamond in Krakow for three nights with my adult son, and the experience was truly wonderful from start to finish. The front desk staff were consistently kind and polite—warm and professional without being overbearing. As Bonvoy members, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a corner room featuring windows on two sides, which we appreciated. Upon arrival, the room felt cold and the bathroom radiator was not turned on, and we couldn’t figure out how to get it working. We notified the front desk, and someone came to check immediately. When the issue wasn’t fixed right away, we were offered a room change, which we declined. By the time we returned later that evening, the issue had been fully resolved. Throughout the remainder of our stay, the desk staff checked in with us several times to make sure the room was warm and everything was working properly. It was especially nice that they remembered us and followed up so thoughtfully. The room itself was very comfortable, and I have to mention how wonderful the water pressure was—such a small detail, but one that really made a difference after long days of sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent and deserves special mention. The staff were wonderful, attentive, and genuinely caring. While the buffet itself is small, it offers a variety of thoughtful and interesting bites. In addition, we were served a beautiful tower of fruit, meats, and cheeses at our table. The menu included about eight freshly prepared dishes to order, all nicely presented and very well done. One morning my son wasn’t feeling well, and I was able to order breakfast to bring up to the room; the staff even offered to help me carry it upstairs, which was incredibly kind. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job throughout our stay. The hotel is very nicely located and made it easy to walk to most major sites. While we enjoyed trying Polish food one evening close to the hotel, we also love ethnic cuisine and were delighted to find excellent Indian and Thai restaurants nearby as well. My only minor complaints are that the lobby is quite small, and although our room was supposed to include a complimentary bottle of wine, it wasn’t initially in the room. I mentioned it on our last day, and it was handled very graciously. I was asked whether I preferred red or white, and when I asked if prosecco was an option, they happily accommodated and even offered to deliver it chilled whenever I wished. I don’t know if my son and I will ever have the opportunity to travel together again, just the two of us, and this hotel truly made the experience feel special and memorable.
