I still cant quite believe my luck in getting a room here for only 40€, I put it down to my strategy of booking late on the day (after 3pm) when some hotels seem to adjust prices downwards to maximise occupancy. Of course, there's a risk involved - they might not have any rooms - but late October it's not too busy in this delightful part of Portugal. Additionally, if you're riding a motorbike, you'll be able to park right outside the hotel (if you tuck in against the wall) but make sure you lock everything up. (as if you wouldn't...) My room was a good size, had a fully functioning air-con/heating system and a decent sized bathroom, with bath, shower, bidet and plentiful hot water Complimentary toiletries and water, always good. The bed was really comfortable :) and the TV offered loads of channels, some movies in English with Portuguese subtitles. My only criticism was only having 1 plug socket, and that was under the table. Bedside light plugs were inaccessible, and so in order to charge my phone I had to leave it on the table, instead of at the side of the bed. But to be honest, this is kind of a first world problem. Breakfast is available here for another €10, which is good value if you're hungry - I availed myself of bacon and eggs, yoghurt, cornflakes, fruit, pastries, passion fruit juice, toast with butter, cheese and ham, and 2 espressi (they have a good coffee machine in the breakfast area) If you only want a coffee and a roll for breakfast, then 10€ may not be such a good investment, there's loads of cafes nearby. Anyway - I'd definitely go back to this hotel, and Evora is a cool town.

“Hard to find, must walk to it, staff not welcoming, look elsewhere.”

We booked this hotel because of its location to local interests. First know it is hard to find and you cannot drive to it, you have to park remotely and walk a block or two. We booked this hotel because of its location to local interests. First know it is hard to find and you cannot drive to it, you have to park remotely and walk a block or two. The closest parking is paid meters on the street but if you go outside the walled city it is all free and unlimited time, just a few blocks hike to and from the hotel. Did not find the staff especially friendly from check in to check out. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet but nothing special. The location was good once we got the hang of navigating the alleys and narrow roads on foot. Did not try their breakfast but it looked typical. Overall I would recommend you look elsewhere especially if you are driving and after this so-so experience I would not stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights in Evora. The Stay hotel is well located in the old part of town where you can walk easily to all the attractions. We stayed 2 nights in Evora. The Stay hotel is well located in the old part of town where you can walk easily to all the attractions. We had the triple room which was large and gave a lot of space for 3 persons. The bathroom was also spacious. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is a cold buffet style. The staff was friendly and helpful. A good choice in Evora.
