We have just gad 4 nights at this fabulous hotel. The location is perfect set right next to an abundance of bars cafes and restaurants, though the hotel does have its own bar and bistro. It is a short walk down to the main square and the train station if you want to venture further afield. The room was spotless and cleaned every day with fresh towels. The bed was large and comfortable. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool area. While we didn’t actually go in the pool we did use the seating area next to it. All of the staff were lovely. Breakfast was probably the best I’ve had in a city hotel - breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, bacon, sausage, beans etc. a toaster and the usual pastries - including the pastel de nata. Overall a fantastic holiday and we have already spoken of returning.

Pros: Staff was amazing! Maria and Katia in particular but also the breakfast staff and other receptionist gentleman. Very friendly and accommodating. Our particular room had a little sitting area - excellent to have space for suitcases. Was nice to have closet space, a fridge, a coffee maker (though ours didn’t seem to work) and a couple of chairs to relax. Also love the three large French windows we could open and look down onto the street and a view of the castle! The room has some cosmetic touch-up needs but it was VERY VERY clean! One of the cleanest rooms we have ever had anywhere. Breakfast was pretty good. Loved that there was always fresh melon. Servers were very attentive. Loved the little pool and patio and bar. Very nice place to relax and have a drink. Cons: It was annoying to be approached to buy drugs when we left the hotel or returned to the hotel over and over again. This is not a sketchy area (theatre district) and there are lots of restaurants right there but the drug sellers hang out in front of the restaurants and pester you as you come and go. VERY annoying and unsettling. If we had had young children with us I’d have been really upset by this. There really should be Kleenex (tissues) in the room. A lot of light comes in the room in the morning. Room darkening shades that cover better would be nice. Would be nice to have USB ports in the room, especially near the beds. There was no variety for breakfast. Every day was the same. 7:30 start time for breakfast is kind of late for travelers who are up and out early to sight-see, catch trains, go on tours, etc. There was a line for breakfast by 7:15. But, all in all we 100% recommend this hotel and would 100% book again if we were coming back to Lisbon!!!

What a lovely all round hotel, stayed for 4 nights and cannot fault a single thing, great location for getting out and about, plenty of good restaurants for good food and drink right on your door step, friendly staff from the moment we arrived until we checked out, room was more than comfortable, the bonus here is the small pool area with sun beds, ideal place to cool off late afternoon after a hot day’s sightseeing.

“Central location. Several issues.”

It was challenging to find since the Hotel is located on a pedestrian street. It was challenging to find since the Hotel is located on a pedestrian street. I was told by the staff ( should be included in all reservations) that before 11 am cars can drop or pick clients up directly from the hotel. It is charming and very dated. My single room was clean but tiny. The hotel uses strong chemicals to have it immaculately clean but for those who are sensitive, like me, it is hard to tolerate. Specifically, it was in my room. I kept the windows open. The hotel is located on the restaurant row, one after the other. I wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant. A lovely concierge, Katia, waved to the waiter to take my order. 20 minutes later. When no one showed up, I stepped up the concierge’s desk. Katis brought me the menu, and once again waved the waiter. No one came out. Then a group of people showed up and a waiter miraculously appeared. He passed right by me and started taking orders from the group! Note to me: this hotel is not friendly to so travelers. Acknowledging another very professional concierge, Gustav! Breakfast was plentiful.
