A small room on the fourth floor with good AC, a updated bathroom shower only no bath. Very interesting elevator which held two people no more. If one had luggage that was capacity.A small balcony which overlooked the street where people were celebrating the soccer match Within blocks of a major monument and fountain as well as numerous eateries and bake shops. No early check in and the place seemed full to capacity with youg tourists. The coincerge made espresso for us as we had to take a cab, organized by him, at 3 AM to the airport. An adaquate place to spend one night, and quiet enough to sleep

It is a no frill hotel . Excellent location on Rua Augusta . I had a super Delux room 207, newly renovated, clean, on first floor and away from the noise , however don’t edict a nice view from the window. Room has a safe and mini fridge. When I arrived I complained that the mini fridge is not working but my complaint was never addressed through my 4 night stay. Would be nice if the room had at least one free bottle of water! You can buy from vending machine at reception area. But give he a beak …a 0.25 € cost for one water bottle won’t break the hotel’s budget. There is not water kettle nor coffee machine, you can buy coffee pods €1 each and make your coffee at the reception. My offer came with breakfast. There were fruits (the bananas were over rupee and never changed in 4dats), there are pastries, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cakes beans , mushrooms, cheese , ham, butter and jams, watermelon and a coffee machine…so breakfast was very good . My room, although newly renovated had cracks at the bathroom door as pictures show. Hallway to my room was too dark and light turns on once the sensor detects movement…not right! Also elevator lights are off during operation! Anyway I used the stairs, All in all , for the location and free breakfast I would definitely stay there again. Just hoping that the few issues I mentioned get addressed by administration if they read this review

“Good budget hotel”

Would never normally book a 1* hotel but needed a hotel for sleep only so booked this last minute. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. Would never normally book a 1* hotel but needed a hotel for sleep only so booked this last minute. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. Arriving very late, we entered the front door to a fabulous welcome from a lovely smiling chatty receptionist, he was a pleasure & most helpful. Beds were comfortable with crisp clean linen, shower was large, towels & toiletries supplied. No tea/coffee or water in the room. Everything was clean, central location and no street noise. Yes it’s basic but it doesn’t claim to be anything else, however, it is a little overpriced but probably because we were a last minute booking.
