Café Nicola - founded in 1779, which was throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth century one of the meeting places of politicians in Portugal, among the most celebrated goers, the poet Bocage; National Theater D. Maria II - classified national monument. It is in this building of neoclassical style that can find the most diverse exhibitions, plays, poetry meetings, among other cultural activities; Avenida da Liberdade - built in the middle of the nineteenth century was the great area of affirmation and ostentation of the Lisbon bourgeoisie. Nowadays it is the avenue of reference of the city, the one chosen by the great brands and the most noble of the capital; Bairro Alto - built from the seventeenth century as a merchants' quarter, began to be connected to nightlife since the 19th century.
