Chose this hotel primarily for easy access to tram network, neighbourhood of Gaia port houses and fine dining options, quality assurances of room plus inclusion of quality breakfast. Nearest tram stop just outside hotel - a doddle! Easy walking distance to major wineries/port lodges. Bed and room were comfortable (albeit we had to request Reception to switch on air conditioning). Breakfast was a highlight, partly because of freshly-made scrambled eggs and bacon, along with wide range of fresh breads, fruit, but especially due to their automated fresh orange juice squeezer. In general, this was an appetising and appealing experience. Staff deserve special commendation for ensuring breakfast food and drink options were continually topped-up. Given another occasion, we would definitely choose the same hotel.

“Great location for new hotel!”

Excellent new hotel with great breakfast, dogs allowed, and onsite parking. High quality doors - can not hear anythign from the hallway! Very convenient right by metro station - 5 min ride to Jardim do Morro and 7 min to historic center. could not be better.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. There are many hotels advertising in the centre of Porto, but the prices are unrealistic for what they offer as a 3 star hotel. Having done some research about the location, I can say for sure you can be in the centre of Porto in 6 minutes from this hotel. The Metro station is directly next to it. The hotel itself is definitely 3 star, as it does only a basic buffet breakfast and does not serve lunch or dinner. However I was more interested in sleeping on a comfy double bed, with a room that looked something from the 21st century, instead of someone's spare room. The rooms have a mini fridge, so you can store drinks and snacks. The double bed is very comfortable. The shower is powerful. Rooms are cleaned everyday, with fresh towels supplied. The location itself has many cafes, mini supermarkets and an Aldi style supermarket 100m from the hotel. Directly in front of the hotel is a great mall selling luxury goods, with all the top fashion brands! something to visit, if you want to take a present away. The only negative I have about the hotel is that breakfast can be crowded, with only two coffee machines. There is the usual assortment of patisseries , fruit juice and scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs are not the usual high quality you get in English hotels. If I was to visit Porto again, I would be happy to stay at the B&B Hotel Porto Gai.

It was my first experience with B&B hotel so many things felt strange and unfamiliar .For example there is almost nil furniture in the room. They are providing you one towel in a double occupancy room and second towel kept sealed, you can open and use it with a big big burden on environment. For drinking water you have to carry from pentry. They have fency room lighting with different colour combination. Breakfast is ok like any other Europian hotel In short a shock on hospitality that was not expectec.
