We stayed here for two nights. Really enjoyed the great breakfast. Lots of choices, some made order items and a great coffee machine with many different drink choices including hot chocolate. Loose tea choices as well. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were exceptional - so helpful and friendly. Very close to many things including a good restaurant just steps away. The only complaint was the beds were on the hard side and because it’s an older building, noise carries. Water is provided in the room as well as some nice amenities. A shuttle service is provided from the airport for a fee which we used and it was very efficient. We were in room 101 and loved it. Highly recommend this hotel.

What an amazing place! We were able to get a last-minute reservation for an incredible price. The room was absolutely adorable, everything that you would expect from a vintage/boutique type of hotel. The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was amazing! It was centrally located on a side street close to everything within walking distance. We were a little nervous that the street activity would be noisy, but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was and comfortable for sleeping. Our only regret is that we only spent one night there. When we return to Porto, we will absolutely stay here again.

Loved everything about this hotel. I stayed for three nights in early February and could not have been happier with my stay. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who gave me all the important information I needed for my stay and also offered an upgraded room which had more space and a balcony for only 15 euros – I couldn’t refuse and room 508 was perfect. The room had a boutique vibe to it and has everything you need for a short stay. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and provided great nights sleep. The location of the hotel is in the middle of everything and is just round the corner from Sao Bento train station. I got the metro directly from the airport to a stop called Trindade and walked from there and this was approximately just under a 10 minute walk. Everything I wanted to do and see was within walking distance. The room rate also included breakfast which was fantastic. The selection ranged from pastries, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, hot options and also eggs cooked on request. I travelled to Porto solo and when you are on your own, when you feel comfortable and at ease in your hotel it really makes a trip memorable – thank you to all at Casa Dos Loios By Shiadu, I hope to return one day.

I’d rate this 4.5, but that’s not an option, so sadly it’s not hitting a 5/5. TLDR: I’d stay there again First the location; it’s a 20 minute taxi to the airport, and when you step out of the front door, you’re on one of the main roads through the historic quarter, and just metres away from the station and an intersection of routes taking you to different parts of the city. There are restaurants and cafes very close by; the historic tram on the water front was a 10 walk; similar to cathedral; less than 15 minutes walk to the Bolhão market. Location: 5/5 Reception is a simple desk staffed by one friendly member of staff 7am-11pm. A glass of Port is always on hand when staff are there (not just when you’re checking in). We found the staff helpful, friendly and attentive. 5/5 The building is hundreds of years old. We stayed in a bedroom on the second floor, the other side of the courtyard. The room itself was smart, clean, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets felt really good quality. However, the bedroom is very clearly a huge room decades ago, that had been subdivided into 3 rooms. As you walk down the corridor, the doors and wall are flat, featureless, like a building site hoarding. Once in the room, it’s ok and well sound proofed, but it’s disappointing to have created zero elegance in the corridor in such a historic building. Breakfast is really good, with a variety of fresh fruit, yoghurts, juices, pastries, and cooked veg & meat. There’s a posh coffee machine, available 24/7 for free. The courtyard offers a semi-shaded haven for breakfast or coffee as you plan your day. There is no lunch or dinner option, but do go for the meat & cheese & port sharing platter; delicious and excellent value.
