Eurostars Aliados delivered everything you want from a Porto hotel. The location is simply unbeatable, right in the heart of the city on Avenida dos Aliados, steps from everything. Our room had a direct view of the iconic Porto sign with locals and tourists posing for photos all day long, which was genuinely entertaining and made us feel right in the middle of city life. The room itself was generously sized by European standards, with an oversized king bed that made for excellent sleeping after long days of walking. The lobby is elegant and the staff were excellent throughout, with strong English and a genuinely helpful attitude. One highlight we didn't expect: the hotel organized a free World Cup viewing event with complimentary drinks in the lobby when it became clear the matches weren't available on the in-room channels. A thoughtful and much appreciated gesture that the whole hotel enjoyed together. A note for future guests: we happened to be there during the Air Invictus air show, which caused some traffic closures and crowds near the Douro. Worth checking the event calendar before you visit. Also, skip the room service and go out for food instead, Porto has far too many great restaurants nearby to eat in. We would absolutely stay here again. O Eurostars Aliados ofereceu tudo o que se pretende de um hotel no Porto. A localização é simplesmente imbatível, no coração da cidade na Avenida dos Aliados, a poucos passos de tudo. O nosso quarto tinha vista direta para o icónico letreiro do Porto, com locais e turistas a tirar fotografias ao longo do dia, o que foi genuinamente animado e fez-nos sentir no centro da vida da cidade. O quarto em si era generoso para os padrões europeus, com uma cama king size grande que proporcionou um excelente descanso após longos dias a caminhar. O lobby é elegante e os funcionários foram excelentes, com um ótimo nível de inglês e uma atitude genuinamente prestável. Um destaque inesperado: o hotel organizou um evento gratuito de visualização do Mundial com bebidas por conta da casa no lobby, quando ficou claro que os jogos não estavam disponíveis nos canais do quarto. Um gesto atencioso e muito apreciado que toda a unidade aproveitou em conjunto. Uma nota para futuros hóspedes: estivemos no hotel durante o Air Invictus, que causou alguns cortes de trânsito e multidões perto do Douro. Vale a pena verificar o calendário de eventos antes de visitar. Também recomendamos evitar o serviço de quarto e sair para comer, o Porto tem demasiados restaurantes excelentes nas proximidades para ficar em casa. Voltaríamos a ficar aqui sem hesitar.
