We booked this hotel for a cheap long weekend getaway to Porto, paying just under £200 for three nights in one of their standard 'King bed' rooms. With that cost in mind, we weren't expecting too much, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a relatively short 10 minute uphill walk from Trindade station. We were happy to compromise on location for the lower price, but we had no issues at all walking down into Porto every morning. Being a little further out, it made us stay out in the city, rather than keep coming back to the hotel room and wasting time! We were politely greeted and checked into our room over two hours early at no additional cost! We only went to drop our bags, but our room was already prepared. Very easy check-in, very informative, and complimentary iced tea and port wine available to help yourselves - very nice touch! The reception is also 24 hour and your room key card is required to operate the lift, another nice touch for safety! The room itself was exactly as the photos and quite a bit bigger in real life. Nicely decorated, nicely lit with defused lighting, very comfortable bed and nice to have a mini balcony to stand and watch the world go by, even in the chilly November air. The shower was spacious and hot, with nice amenities and a separate room for the toilet to keep the smells away from the bathroom! A bit strange that there's a window between the shower room and the bedroom, with the controls on the bedroom size, depends what you're into I suppose ;) Our room was serviced daily with replenished water bottles too, even though we told the cleaner on the way out it really wasn't necessary, so a very nice surprise when we got back in the evening! All in all we had a wonderful stay in this hotel which is outstanding value for money considering the quality of the room and service received. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Porto.

This hotel is well located within a 10 minute walk from Trindade metro station, which we took directly from the airport. Google maps sent us on an unnecessarily complicated route to reach the hotel but the next day we realised we could have kept to the main roads. We were warmly greeted by Reuben and allocated our rooms. I was in room 402 which was a decent size and overlooked the back of the hotel and my friend was on the floor below. The room was equipped with a coffee machine, hairdryer, mini fridge, digital safe and 1 bottle of water was provided daily. I asked for a kettle and iron and these were delivered to my room while we ate the restaurant. The food of course was fantastic. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The bedding and towels were also of a high standard. The hotel is within easy downhill walking distance of all the main attractions. Please be aware that Porto is quite hilly and if you have mobility issues you may prefer to be even nearer to the central area or just use taxis. The location to me was perfect. It’s not too close to the busy main square but it is close enough to walk there easily. There is a supermarket (Pingo Doce?) which is about 10 minutes walk away after turning left outside the hotel. I celebrated my birthday whilst on holiday (I didn’t mention it) and they very kindly provided me with cake and sparkling wine, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back in the sunnier months. It’s fairly priced too.

Stayed for 4 nights in September. Amazing hotel. I’d go as far to say the best i’ve stayed at in Europe. The attention to detail is second to none, food is brilliant, drinks aren’t stupidly overpriced like they normally are in hotels. The room was great, spacious, modern, and comfortable. TV in the room has streaming so you can connect your phone, which most others don’t have. We had a room with a window to the road which was still great as it’s on a quiet ish road so not much noise. When we arrived we were early so we dropped our bags and went to explore. By the time we arrived back our bags were in our room waiting for us. The location is perfect if you’re happy to walk about 15 minutes into the city. If not, ubers arrive in good time and are super cheap, about €5 into the heart of the city. I would 100% without a doubt stay here again.

A very mixed experience for our group. Rooms very tight and a few still under renovation. The completed ones were a bit nicer. A very mixed experience for our group. Rooms very tight and a few still under renovation. The completed ones were a bit nicer. A longish corridor leads to a squarish tight room with very little space to open two big suitcases simultaneously.  Maybe we should have gone for the next category but though a 21mtr sq room would suffice. On the other hand toilets were very well planned. A central wash area with two separate cubicles on either side for the shower and WC areas. Staff were a hit or miss. Some very friendly , polite and helpful where some were pretty standoffish and cold. We had dinner here on one night and food was pretty ok . Paid a corkage of euro 5 per bottle of wine. Location was pretty good with a lot of restaurants and shops at a 5 to 10 minue walking distance. Taxis were relatively cheap as well. But would not stay here again. Would prefer a nicer place with a more central location.
