“Fantastic hotel, staff, food and the best views of Porto”

This was our first stay in a Tivoli hotel and our first visit to Portugal. We could not have selected a better hotel. Every member of the staff was warm, personable and friendly. Francisca, Francisca B. and Daniel of the concierge staff provided the best restaurant and sightseeing recommendations! We enjoyed a memorable and delicious experience with Maria, Albert and George for a 10 Moments food and wine tasting in the hotel’s 1638 restaurant. Felipe did a fantastic job during the wine and port tasting in the hotel’s 1638 bar. We had an excellent lunch in the hotel’s Boa Vista restaurant and Catarina was very personable and provided excellent service and food recommendations. We had excellent service for breakfast every morning in the Boa Vista restaurant. The staff were super friendly and warm. We enjoyed an informative tour of the Kopke port cellar with Carlos. The hotel’s location provides the best views of Porto. We loved the design, decor, art and grounds of the hotel. We enjoyed our suite with a private garden overlooking the hotel grounds, the Douro River and Porto. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional. We would seek out this hotel company when planning future travels and would definitely select this hotel during our next visit here.

“Stay in Porto area”

We stayed for two nights as part of a Tauck tour across northern Spain and down into northern Portugal. Service at the hotel was excellent … which is why Tauck chose them.

“Great Hotel Great Staff”

We were part of a tour group staying here. Staff were cheerful and pleasant. The food was of a high quality and standard. We were treated to port wine tasting and the correct way of drinking made the experience even better. Our room was great and quiet. Hotel has an artful atmosphere.

My second time staying in this hotel and it has only improved on an already perfect first stay. All of the staff I came across were incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable, and facilties on offer are top class. Rooms are beautifully furnished and makes for an extremely luxurious stay. Genuinely great value for money. We stayed in a premium room with a river view balcony which offered exceptional views of Porto and the Dom Luís I Bridge. We also availed of the outdoor and indoor pool, which are both great. Room service was also extremely efficient and offered good value. Perhaps a slightly larger menu could be offered in the future. My only small comment would be on the music in some parts of the hotel are quite odd, including at the Sky Bar, where poorly sung covers of popular songs are played and doesn't really match the overall atmosphere of the space.
