This stay was absolutely wonderful. We were looking forward to staying here as our third leg of our overall holiday. It did not disappoint! We stayed in one of the loft rooms with the bedroom on a mezzanine above the sitting room and kitchen area. This room had everything! There was a hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. There was a full set of cutlery and plates with some pans etc. The only thing missing was the chopping board - we did not use any of the cooking equipment as we only stayed 3 nights and wanted to eat out. The sofa is really comfortable and the TV has lots of channels in different languages also. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was an air conditioning unit above the bed as well as downstairs. This was the relaxation element of our trip. It was slightly further out from the riverside centre of Porto which suited us but may not suit those looking to be in the heart of everything. There are lovely restaurants nearby with plenty more just a short walk away. The pool area of this place was fantastic! It was lovely being in a relaxing haven in the city. You could barely hear the city noise. There is construction going on next door at the moment but this did not impact our stay. The pool itself is lovely. However, there are a number of missing tiles on the floor of the pool. This is something that is expensive to do, and with the pool in such high demand during the summer and water being precious during the summer months it will be a while before this can be solved. There was also a couch area on one of the tiered terraces which was lovely to sit out at in the evenings. Overall, an amazing place to stay and a spot we will definitely return to. We will try to stay here for a longer time.

“Great Location & Breakfast”

We spent a week in this lovely serviced apartment located on Rua Santa Catarina which is approx 1 kilometer from the central shopping precinct of Porto. It provides a very nice breakfast basket every morning which is left by your door and is filled with fresh juice, muffins, croissants, fresh fruit, baked bread rolls, cheese and ham. It varies slightly everyday which is a nice touch. The pool is clean and well maintained as is the property overall. Spa services are available by request at the front desk. We would recommend booking one of the loft apartments that provides extra room and direct access to a laundry and the stone court yard leading up to the pool. These apartments are located to the back of the property so you avoid all street noise which you get at the front. Andrea is very helpful and welcomes you when you arrive. She takes you though a detailed run down on the facilities as well as proving a city map which she uses to point out all the highlights and popular restaurants. Opposite is a great place to eat dinner, serving traditional food and wine. You'll find many more restaurants up & down this street as well as convenience stores only a short walk away. If you turn left as you exit the property and walk approx 500 meters you'll find a metro station in the lovely tree lined park. We can recommend this property for a comfortable stay in Oporto.

The duplex room was really big, well appointed, very clean, couldn't fault the room. We booked based on firstly location, lots of people saying great location which isn't really true. The Ribera district is where all the shopping, food, views and drinks are and this is a good 30 to 40 minute walk for 2 people in early 40s who are fit and healthy. The walk back is all uphill. It gets very hot in Porto due to the tall buildings there is no breeze so location wasn't great at all really in our opinion. The room looked straight out onto a not very pleasant, busy road so we didn't use the balcony, there is building noise from surrounding building works as well. The second reason we booked is because it has a pool. The pool was dirty, it had broken tiles, it looked a bit green and the whole garden area has great potential but only a few sunbeds and some dead planters, which is a shame, it could be so much nicer. The pool needs repairing and a better filter. The staff were very polite and helpful no issues there. It is a fairly short 15 to 20 minutes walk to the Bolhao market which is good for eating at and the Chapel of Souls but again all uphill on the way back.
