The Pousada de Viseu is located in central Portugal, in the city of Viseu, considered the capital of gastronomy in 2019, 5 minutes on foot from the Parque Florestal do Fontelo. It is located in the old Hospital de São Teotónio, one of the oldest hospitals of the city, that opened in 1842 and features views of the historic part of the city. This old hospital was completely reconstructed and adapted by architect Gonçalo Byrne in 2009. The hospital is an important landmark in the most peaceful city centre in Portugal.
During your stay at the Pousada de Viseu, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or opt for something a little more relaxing at the spa and get a wonderful Magic Spa massage. The layout of this hotel is great, easy to find your way around, the rooms are nicely appointed and the great unparalleled common area was special. “Best hotel yet”
Outstanding hotel, exceptional room and excellent breakfast. We have been driving round Portugal for 3 weeks this is the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff have been so helpful, location is good too!
