“Absolutely amazing”

Stayed for a week in the Retro Apartment, in the very center of the city. The apartment is huge, tastefully decorated, yet maintaining the historical building flavor. All amenities available, just felt like my second home in Cluj. Amazing views towards the main city square. The only slight downside that comes with the location is the city noise, but it was nothing that some year plugs and the double glazed windows couldn’t resolve. I will return for sure! And big thank you to Radu, who was extremely helpful and promptly answered all my questions.

“Starting point to explore Cluj”

Stayed for 1 night in the Retro apartment. It really is retro decorated and is very spacious. It is right on the Eroilor boulevard overlooking the Unirii square which has a lot of parking spots available. It was at the 3rd floor of an old building with no elevator. Stayed for 1 night in the Retro apartment. It really is retro decorated and is very spacious. It is right on the Eroilor boulevard overlooking the Unirii square which has a lot of parking spots available. It was at the 3rd floor of an old building with no elevator. It is a really good place to start exploring Cluj since you are close to almost everything. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because the bathroom needs a little improvement. In a sense that the shower is very difficult to use and the sink would need a replacement. Anyway a very good place.

We stayed in the Retro apartment that overlooks the main square in Cluj. The apartment is spacious, nicely decorated and I would say have all the utilities one might need to stay a few days and visit the city. The advantage is that you just go out and you are in the center, you have where to have a drink, eat and even buy groceries without having to move much. The main disadvantage though is the parking as the apartment offers no parking. The city also made it incredible annoying to park in the center which is limited to 2 hours from early morning till around 6 if I remember right. So if you are from outside the city and don't want to go an repay your parking every 2 hours is annoying. Also it adds us $ which is again inconvenient. Also main door closes quite hard as you need to push it hard and it creates a terrible noise which I guess for the people actually living there is an extra inconvenient noise. And there is no elevator so just bear in mind you need to go up till the last floor so might want to pack lightly or be prepared for a few stairs jogging :) Even though the apartment was clean when we arrived that was not he case with the bathroom and when we opened the cupboard behind the mirror in above the sink. Pitty because all the rest looked properly cleaned. Overall I am not giving this a 3 start rating but a 4 because I believe the Retro apartment is very good located, spacious and with good lights and has proper utilities. What I would recommend is a better attention towards cleaning and considering offering a way of parking for customers even if it means a small increase in the price.

Excellent location at Piata Unirii in the heart of the city. There are numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants all around within hardly any walking distance. The apartment is spacious, warm and decorated in an old style. Radu hosting the reservation process is very nice. The shower could be more effective. To get inside in night time for the first time is challenging, since the box where the keys are is not lit and to align the key code digits in darkness is difficult.
