One of our favourite hotels at the sea side. The rooms are brand new, spacious, large confortable bed, nice balcony with sea view or lake view. Breakfast is tasty and has many options. The coffee is really good, big plus for this. They have garrage and front parking as well, so it is very safe. The pool is a great place to spend the afternoons. They have their own beach, right in front of the hotel. Highly reccomend Nyota!

Rooms are big/ variety breakfast/pool ok for relax ,not very big ,but ok.The cocktails on bar are awesome!!Defo i ll be back.the hotel offer sunbeds on Asylium beach near Loft,free! The food on restaurant its very good also

Location: If you’re looking to stay in Mamaia, this hotel is one of the better options I’ve seen in terms of facilities and location. However, if you’ve never been to the area and are after a traditional beach/pool holiday, I’d urge you to consider alternatives. Mamaia beach may look like white sand in photos, but in reality, it’s rough and coarse—more like construction material. The sea is also not very clear. The area itself is a bit odd. There are many hotels under construction, but no real “flow” or charm to the layout. As a visitor, you’ll find yourself walking along a busy main road flanked by concrete buildings. There isn’t a central street lined with bars and restaurants; most dining options are directly on the beach, which might be fine during the day, but less appealing in the evening. Hotel: The hotel is modern, clean, and generally pleasant. The pool area is lovely, but if you want to spend time there, I recommend going early—by around 2 p.m. it starts to fall into shade, and by 3 p.m. it’s fully shaded (based on our stay in June). Rooms: The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t specify a preference for a lake or sea view and was given a lake view. Both sides offer nice views, but if you plan to spend time on your balcony, I’d recommend the sea-view side. The lake side overlooks a busy road, which detracts from the experience. That said, the sea view side backs onto clubs like Loft, so it can be extremely noisy, especially on Saturday nights. Breakfast: Breakfast was included and featured a good variety. Everything I tried was tasty, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The only downside was the coffee machine—it’s slow, produces small cups of lukewarm coffee, and there’s only one machine for the entire restaurant. Service: Overall, service was good. Reception and pool bar staff were friendly and professional. We had lunch at the hotel once; I ordered a lamb kebab with bulgur wheat and roasted vegetables, but it arrived with rice and flatbread instead. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he simply shrugged and said, “The menu is wrong,” then walked off—not ideal, especially after a 30-minute wait. Disappointing service in that instance. Maya Beach: One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the advertised free access to Asylum Beach Club, including loungers and towels. In practice, you get access to Maya Beach, which is reached through Asylum and appears to be part of the same Loft Group. We used Maya Beach a few times. Aside from the coarse sand, the main issue was a particular staff member who was unprofessional—demanding tips, making rude remarks, and adding a larger tip to my card payment than I authorized. I reported the incident to The Loft and copied the hotel (Nyota) in, but haven’t received a response from either as of writing. This experience has significantly impacted my review score of the hotel. On a more positive note, the girls at the towel booth were consistently friendly and helpful. Summary: If I ever found myself needing to return to Mamaia, I’d likely choose this hotel again—it’s one of the best options in the area. However, I don’t see myself wanting to holiday in Mamaia again.
