This was our second visit and was another fabulous trip. While not much had changed, there were a few differences that we noticed. On our past visit, in 2023, the manager was very visible and introduced himself to all guests and checked in regularly to see how things were going and looking for feedback, this trip, we never met or saw the manager. Last trip, happy hour happened everyday with small bites and snacks available, this trip, happy hour was not a daily occurrence and no snacks were available for purchase. We felt happy hour offered an opportunity for guests to mingle and perhaps linger at the bar or restaurant. Previously at the beach, there was a gentleman quick to introduce himself and advise what he could arrange or provide for you, that was missing this year as well. We noticed that other than during the day Musicfest was held at the hotel, dinner time was very quiet and even the entertainment did not draw people in. We only had dinner here one evening and while it was plentiful, it was really just okay. I had paid our outstanding balance the evening prior and was glad we did because when we went to drop off the key just before 7am, we couldn't find any staff or even a note on how to contact anyone. None of these items affected our stay and are merely observations on where we felt the hotel may have declined in offerings. Guests who had not visited before would never have been aware or felt anything was missing. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, we stayed in the same room as previously and it appeared that little, if anything, had changed but didn't feel anything needed to be done. This is still one of our favourite vacation spots, the location is ideal, included breakfast was always good and the view is spectacular.

Another wonderful trip to Bequia and another amazing stay at the Bequia Plantation Hotel. We were welcomed back like old friends. Another wonderful trip to Bequia and another amazing stay at the Bequia Plantation Hotel. We were welcomed back like old friends. Bequia itself is a beautiful island with super relaxed vibes—thankfully not blingy, which suits us perfectly. Chris and the management team are fantastic. A quick WhatsApp and any request is sorted, and the daily check-in to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed was a lovely touch. The Bequia Plantation Hotel oozes old-school Caribbean charm. It sits on its own beach and is close enough to other beaches, restaurants and bars for an easy stroll, while still feeling peaceful and secluded in the evenings. Spending time at the bar is like being in a Bequia-style episode of Cheers, where everybody knows your name. “Hairoun for Michael, and a Piña Colada for Anna?”—it’s just a great atmosphere. Our room was right on the beach—perfect for easy access during the day, and even better in the evening for a bit of stargazing, whether from a sun lounger or floating in the sea. A big thank you again to Chris and the team, and a special shout-out to everyone in the bar and restaurant for looking after us so well—Janell, Tevin, Bree, Kim, Natty, Jinese, Julecia, William, Glen and Prunella (hope we haven’t missed anyone!).
