“TLC needed”

Nice clean hotel with comfy beds & large rooms, fridge in room. Breakfast average. Just needs a tidy up as carpets stained & mould in shower. Otherwise great stay.

We spent Easter holidays in Belgrade and had a great time at Constantine the Great! The room was spacious, light, clean, the bathroom facilities were perfect, the bed was very comfortable, staff was friendly and welcoming, we even tried the restaurant and the food was delicious. The location was also ideal for our points of interest, we didn't need to use public transport or taxi to visit around. The reasons why I didn't give maximum score: the air conditioning wasn't working so we had to sleep with windows open and there were protests every single night (the city hall is literally a few blocks away from the hotel!) which really disturbed our rest. The telephone in the room wasn't working either, so we needed to talk to receptionists in person for all queries except food (we stayed at the 5th floor), but the good part was that there is a QR code in each room for room service catering orders and that was very helpful. However, we warmly recommend this hotel and definitely will stay here again if we return.

...unless you insist on having hot water in less than 5-6 minutes. Friendly, very relaxed staff. Home made coffee, not the espresso style. Thick, black, strong. Bring us another one! Ah, almost forgot - during the previous visit (January 1st) complementary bottle of sparkling wine in the room. Very nice! All in all - stay there and be relaxed.

I really wanted to like this hotel...It has contemporary furnishings and a modern interior design, which gives it a higher-end feel. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Digital scale in bathroom. Attentive and responsive staff. Quality Rituals-brand products. Walkable location and tram right out front. The rooms need some attention--an abundance of cobwebs in the ceiling corners and around light fixtures, stained carpet and soiled draperies. It was not that things were worn and scratched, rather, they needed a shampoo or deep clean. What could have been an above-average or superior room was a disappointment. Room amenities to consider adding: a box of tissues, plug sockets on both sides of the bed, iron/ironing board. Safety features to consider: peephole to see into the hall/who is at the door and a security lock in addition to the one at the door handle.
